Bianca takes the sip of Earc's potion and disappears from sight, her dainty feet padding quietly down the hallway ahead...

Winnie mentally recites a prayer for her friend's safety as her footsteps disappear from her ears.

Issachar

Tastes the stream water on his tongue, brackish or sulphuric or okay. He plays with his rosary and waits for the witch to return.

I meant "wet dog." But really a bit of column A, a bit of column B. :)

Bianca

Come walking back to the group some 45 mins later, padding along silently but quite visible. She waste no time. "a handful of gnolls bathing and releiving themselves in the pool ahead. 11 altogether. They were naked when i left, but may be rearming by now. I couldn't tell which way they were heading, in or out... also, turns out female gnolls have 6 nipples. Now i won'tbe the only one haunted by that image tonight."

Issachar

"Female gnolls? probably got a few whelps around. You want to negotiate with fleabag canines or end up munched on the end of their toothy canines?"

The cleric readies his flail and nods he is able to bash a few heads in. "The infidels worship a demon who wields one of these so may mine comfort them as they prepare to meet their maker."

But puppies are so cute!!! points out Winnie, needlessly. Failing to see Bianca, she squats and scratches Mrs. Dash behind the ears, reassuring the dog that there were no actual puppies in danger here.

Mrs. Dash thumps her tail appreciatively at Winnie's scratching and reassurance, though she seems oblivious to the topic of conversation.

Olaf gets antsy when the invisible elf woman is gone for three quarters of an hour. He uses the time to inspect the tunnel in which the group waits, searching for signs of who made it, when, and how carefully. And for secret doors, of course, though he expects to find none.

When Bianca returns, Olaf hefts his battle chain. "It be bashin' time?" he asks.

Olaf:
Olaf determines it is clearly a dwarf-made passage, roughly 1,800-1,900 years old. It is what he'd expect for an escape passage - the narrow hallway is only of value until discovered, bit once discovered gives advantage to the defender, being easily barricaded, funnelling opponents single file, and with long approaches defendable with crossbows. It was not intended to have a floor drain, though it was sloped to shed water: the channel in the floor worn in over centuries.

"Thank you for scouting. Bianca. They are creatures of evil, adult or youth. And they're in the way. If we can get close enough, I can put some of them to sleep. Can we handle that many, though?" Earc asks.

Issachar

"Fiends who dwell in the wilderness, ravishing good farmers and eating their babes. Sure they have a cooking cauldron big enough to fit some witching wenches in. Perhaps Miss Bianca you can use your invisibility to gain us some advantage for we will be sorely pressed like threshing corn stuck in this hallway.""

Earc adds, "I do have a few more doses of the potion. Maybe we could sneak a few people into the room without their noticing, then strike from the tunnel and either side of it all at the same time."

Or... I could just charm them magically and the Bianca can translate for us. It will probably allow us to use them as guards, even. I can charm up to three creatures today. She points it that it would decrease the risk of injury in the group.
