Handy.
Okay, still leaving the chicken-lizard alone. Back toward town at crack of dawn it is.

Do we each have a sledge to pull? If not, Able will offer to pull one first, so one of the ranged-fighting folks can watch the skies and landscape for anything nasty.
Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
The group busies itself with making sledges and makeshift carts to trundle their way across the grasslands the eigh miles back to Beith's Watch to the South. They steer clear of the arachnids in the stables, the mill full of moose-geese, and the lizard-chickens on it's roof. They are discomfited by the sight of winged lizards the size to be dragons which occasionally appear far off dropping below the ever-present clouds.
In the morning, they rise with the dawn and get started and sixteen hours later arrive unmolested at the dwarven construction site which will be Beith's Watch in only a day or so. They are a few hours into their trudge when it occurs to them that nobody bothered cleaning up the dozens of dead kobolds, but that they weren't around anymore when they came back to sleep the night before. It is a few more hours when some of them note occasional kobold-sized footprints in the mud as you travel. Despite some apprehension, no kobolds (or other threats) are ever sighted.
When you arrive at Beith's Watch, you know your travels are almost at an end - well-travelled roads now connect you to Gaul and wagons can help speed your passage. The dwarves are finishing their final whorls and decorations on the stonework, expecting to be completed the next day.
You rise the next morning once more and with their wagons you find you and your belongings easily transported back to Gaul by noon.
Please divvy your treasure. You arrive on 18 June and need to cover your town activity to the current date, July 9th. You can gain benefit for 21 days good rest per house rules. Please post in the Golden Tooth Tavern or other town threads to cover this gap.

Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
The list here had another wizard scroll and the two potions of healing.
Marullus, can we get value in silver for the candlesticks and big block o' silver, or do we need to negotiate selling them for some price?

Idriss
not sure what his proportion of the treasure is, actually he would prefer to have the cash as he needs to either buy mage inks to scribe the scrolls into his spell book or pay a similar fee for access after the Eruanna Temple receives them.
idriss is duty bound by Templar oath to pass certain things to the Infirmary library so that access may be made for all and the profits thereof spent on improving care facilities for the poor and needy.
He has the wizard scroll and the elf scroll upon him. Not sure how to do this, I think as it is still technically 'party' treasure any magic-users within the party ought to be able to copy the spells into their books without the cost (Except their inks and study time), prior to the scrolls being given to the Eruanna Templars. then Idriss and cleric Ablesforth would pass the scrolls over and study in the Infirmary library.
Idriss may be contacted about his loot share at the Infirmary, he will stay there until his spell research and learning is complete and then potential head out for a second attempt at the old goblin lair or even investigate the dragons more if the Duke's sage pays for the information.

Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Able would have dug a grave or built a pyre for the dead elf. He mentions the absent kobold corpses to the dwarf and guards at Beith's Watch. Hope there ain't no kobold zombies lurching these plains. Bad enough when they was alive, I reckon.
While at Beth's Watch, Able casts detect magic once more, hoping the new treasure reveals hidden value. He will try on the copper amulet, trying to discern what it might do. He asks Rhybek or Neegan to attack him with sticks to see if it make him more difficult to hit.
Able's interests will depend a bit on the results of the detect magic (on the dead elf's things) and the test with the copper pendant. So far, he would like a potion of healing something magical and/or coin. Though he will probably just use the coin to buy XP...

Those are on the Summary for Part 1. If you haven't disbursed them yet you should include them now.
When I give weights it is giving value. 1lb of silver is 10sp or 1gp. The ursurer will pay you by weight (1% exchange fee as normal). You can just divvy that up.Zhym wrote:Marullus, can we get value in silver for the candlesticks and big block o' silver, or do we need to negotiate selling them for some price?
The 500lbs of bronze winches are twice as valuable as copper, so count it as 10,000cp.
Treasure is rolled in x1000 coins; sometimes that is nonsensical, so I am just giving you better RP descriptors.
The group has found three scrolls containing eight spells. It will cost 1,650gp in materials to copy all of them to a spell book.not sure what his proportion of the treasure is, actually he would prefer to have the cash as he needs to either buy mage inks to scribe the scrolls into his spell book or pay a similar fee for access after the Eruanna Temple receives them.
The first person to copy them to a book destroy the scroll - that person would need to let others copy from THEIR spell book to share them. If the scrolls are donated to Eruanna, they will handle copying into books from the scrolls - some will then be available to the public and some to the Templars.
If kept in scroll form, they can be cast once, even if above the caster's level, giving access to higher magics on a one-time basis.

Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
I believe those potions of healing were keep as group treasure. Then we forgot about them.
Amazing we didn't die...
I'll be at a festival initial Sunday evening. If no one has figured out the coin value of selling everything non-magical (silver block and candlesticks, winch, fish, barrels, etc) by then, I'll try to figure it on Monday.
Able needs 1771 XP to hit level 4. If we somehow have that much coin, I'll just level up with donations to the festival, a bard and donations to the Infirmary.

"Does someone want to try that headdress thingy on and see what it does?" Rhybek asks the group.
If nobody steps forward, he will try it on...

Fingers
Abel
Idriss
Neegan
Rhybek
Treasure:
Figuring out the other sundries would be a little more tedious.
If donating the 2 scrolls may make some of the spells available to my caster PC, then I'm cool with that! I think the ward scroll should be taken by a party member.
We have the copper amulet and the headdress that are both magical and Abel and Neegan need to pick an item. If Neegan wants the +1 Dwarven Handaxe, then Rhybek would be OK to give that up for the copper amulet. Then he could figure out what it does. But not sure he'd have any use at all for the headdress...
The map and sigil should stay together. Maybe whoever wants to eventually lead a party to Zavarra should take them? Or... I don't know who is more interested in going to Zavarra - Rhybek or my caster. Seems like, though, we will need some higher level characters to make that a successful venture.

700 silver
277 copper
Sundries: 245 gp (assuming no beneficial haggling).
Total: 1136 gold, 700 silver, 277 copper.
All Fingers wants is the cloak.
Idriss, Fingers, Rhybek, and Able all seem to be making out pretty well in the loot allocation above. Does Neegan want the copper disc-shaped amulet and/or the headdress? If so, we might be able to allocate the money more or less evenly. If people want to try to use money to balance out the magic items, someone else can do that calculation.
Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Sealed barrels of salt fish are meant to be a trade good on the caravans and can be reclaimed for the full 40gp unopened. Also, no merchants have interest in kobold-made Spears. So, the total for the sundries can be 305gp, not 245gp.
Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Rhybek would take the map and sigil and a share of the gold if someone needs a weapon and can use the +1 Dwarven Axe. If it comes down to it, he would take a reduced share and hold on to the axe as well. Or we could sell the axe and split that coin among the group. He already has a family heirloom dwarven battle axe that he is more likely to use. Of course, the dwarven handaxe would be a good backup in case he fumbles and loses his battle axe in the middle of a fight.
If someone else wants the map and sigil as part of their share, then he wouldn't argue against that at all, as long as they eventually plan on leading a group venture to the lost city. For the record, Rhybek would be willing to lead an expedition to Zavarra in the future (as mentioned previously, with a group of 5th-6th level or higher characters). So if someone else wants to be a party leader for that expedition, then go ahead and take the map/sigil, but only if you're willing to lead a group.

Fingers is willing to lead that group. Just not right away.
Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Perfect. See below.Zhym wrote:Fingers is willing to lead that group. Just not right away.

Distribution...
Fingers - Elven Cloak, Map and Sigil of Zavarra
Abel - 299gp, 175sp, 70cp, Ward vs. Undead Scroll, Copper Amulet on gold chain
Idriss - 299gp, 175sp, 69cp, Wizard Scroll, Elf Scroll
Neegan - 299gp, 175sp, 69cp,
Rhybek - 299gp, 175sp, 69cp, Dwarven Axe +1
Still needs sorting...
Feather Headdress of the Kobold Chief
Healing Potion
Healing Potion
Does Neegan want the headdress? Or the axe, maybe? Rhybek would be fine with taking the healing potions if Neegan wants the axe. Certainly Neegan could use it, unless he already has a magical weapon? Just chime in with what you want to do, Dram.
Or, being a front-line fighter as well, we could each take a healing potion. Then if Neegan wants the axe, he can take it. Rhybek can figure out something to do with the headdress.

Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Oh, and the healing potions should be allocated to someone, unless we're all going back out as a group again.
Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Updated the above. Probably easier to distribute them, so if anyone wants one of them speak up. As a front-line fighter, Rhybek would absolutely be willing to take one of them, but others should chime in first.Zhym wrote:Oh, and the healing potions should be allocated to someone, unless we're all going back out as a group again.

Re: Fingers: The Kobold Tower: Part II - 13 June 2021
Able would be glad for the amulet. It doesn't lower AC, but it seems to distract people attacking the bearer of it. Marullus can pay the results he put in my private forum.
Any word on magic for the newer treasure?
Able will try on the headress and try telling folks to do ridiculous things or to intimidate them. If it has the effect of intimidation, someone ight to think about renegotiating the sale of those items.
