Expedition Planning Discussions
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Last takers for a short wilderness trek and salvage trip to the kobold tower.
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Clay is double-booked on both Amistad's and Finger's expeditions. Which is he actually doing?Zhym wrote:So, Marullus, do we need to wait for the end of the trial to get Fingers's expedition rolling with Markd in attendance, or can we do that in parallel?
Here's the updated roster:
Fingers
Bandy
Markd
Allmond
Clay and retinue
Should we start calling the group the Allmond brothers band?
I haven't been watching Clay's story. Who is the female archer that would come along with him?

Right... he will head to the kobold tower this time. He will want to know "his" hex better.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
So the Duke's plan looks to be, "Give Foxy a sit of plate mail armor and let her face the dragon, either killing it, or, more likely, dying and buying the town of Gaul a month to get ready." Is that what everyone else is hearing?
Able is willing to help with an assault. Clay could be convinced, but he has other things on his mind.
And now that I post this, I am guessing I should be making an IC post in the tavern or Scatha threads. But I want to get an idea of other PCs want to face the dragon, in conjunction with Foxy's stand.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Dram is on his bird hunting trip, but he said he wants Baxtaw to lead an Expedition against the dragon. I said that was fine - it would fall as a normal expedition after. The hard part is seeing who is left in town to go.

How are we going to determine that?Marullus wrote:Dram is on his bird hunting trip, but he said he wants Baxtaw to lead an Expedition against the dragon. I said that was fine - it would fall as a normal expedition after. The hard part is seeing who is left in town to go.
Should we look at the expedition threads and take note of date ranges for each one and then post the dates when our characters are in town?

Expeditions always leave from the current stamp. I want to resolve the Events that are out of sync and get back to that.
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
yes, that is the duke's plan."Give Foxy a suit of plate mail armour and let her face the dragon alone, either killing it, or, more likely, dying and buying the town of Gaul a month to get ready."

Per my [imgpost]viewtopic.php?f=353&t=6837&p=330696#p330696[/img] in teh Scatha thread, Clay and Able are willing to lend Foxy what aid they can.
With Good Meals, Protection from Evil, Shield, Blessings on her Weapons, Resistance to Fire and Plate armor, she has:
Clay is willing to donate a potion of Healing or two.
Who might offer to cast shield or other things for Foxy.
Any cast spells only have a 50% chance of success, and runs the risk of making him attack the town or fly away and come back. But if the Ballistas are functional and we can manage to ground Scatha, I think it could be worth it, and other folks could charge into the field of battle. If not, then we just need to pile more and more stuff onto Foxy, I guess.
Thought?

- * Base AC 1 (or AC0 if Scatha is evil, which is very likely) (Scatha's THACO is 11)
* +3 on all saves, or +6 on all Fire-related saves.
* -1 from each successful damage die from fire-weapons
* +1 to hit/dmg (Of course, a magical weapon would be better still)

Brother Hengist is a newly approved 2nd level Cleric of Baudh, now available for your expeditions. The Church always needs gold, shall we start the bidding?

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Fingers's expedition to the Ghostly Trial has three followers of Baudh on it. Brother Hengist would be right at home. And you can never have too many clerics when the undead are involved.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Depending on what happens with his trial, Bremen will be looking for a cleric to join him back at the Tower. But the trial needs to be resolved first, so I understand if you jump right into another adventure first.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Undead you say? Smiting those foul creatures of unlike sounds like fun.
Has a tithe to the Temple of Baudh been set by the group? Assuming it has, sign me up.
I think I will join Finger's expedition, so as to get playing. But good luck on the trial.

Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Fingers has pledged half his share of gold from the expedition to the church of Baudh as part of his pitch to get Allmond to join up. Hopefully that covers a tithe.

That is more than just, I think. Brother Hengist will make a donation from his share upon his return, of course.

Yep. That covers it. I note that you said "of gold" and not "of treasure" or "of coin."Zhym wrote:Fingers has pledged half his share of gold from the expedition to the church of Baudh as part of his pitch to get Allmond to join up. Hopefully that covers a tithe.
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Are there any PC wizards available for an expedition? We don't have any NPC wizards for hire, right?
Re: Expedition Planning Discussions
Sorry. I happen to have a few on Earc's venture. Well... two wizards and an elf.Zhym wrote:Are there any PC wizards available for an expedition? We don't have any NPC wizards for hire, right?
