OOC Chatter I
Re: OOC Chatter I
Work remains abnormally busy, my wife needed a weekend of loving fuss for mother's day, my daughter injured both her ankles and I now have a raft of medical appointments, and other calamities. I'll get some updates in soon.

I refuse to let my wife read that post for fear she'll think I could be doing more.
Hope things settle down and that your daughter's ankles are okay.

Re: OOC Chatter I
My wife reached a new level of unsubtlety this year. Last Tuesday I got a note, "Today would be a good day to send flowers so I can enjoy them all week, and if you haven't already ordered them, here's the link to the ones I like." To which I (of course) replied, "Why WOULDN'T I have ordered you flowers? They should be there before noon, and I happened to pick the same ones... They were the envy of the office. The other husbands got told.
Thanks. Leaving shortly to spend today at the doctors as well. She's a trooper - I am very impressed with how she overcame this challenge. Getting her to stop running on crutches is the new hurdle.Rusty Tincanne wrote:Hope things settle down and that your daughter's ankles are okay.

Well just don't let her see the Dark Crystal any time soon.

If Mister-Kent can wait a few days in the real world, I believe Idriss (Templar) and Ablesforth (Cleric of Eruanna) will be heading after some demons when we get back. If he cannot wait and wants to go out for an adventure to advance a level or two, Ablesforth would wait for his return. (I've got 2 other characters on adventures right now and Able was planning on becoming a Templar anyhow, which will take a few in-game days.)Dare is a short but athletic young man with a... very fresh tattoo... of a silver crescent moon.

I'm fine with waiting
Re: OOC Chatter I
Sorry that I'm lagging a bit - work has had a lot of transition in the last two weeks and kid/wife stuff has been hectic. I've been trying to post updates whenever I can get a respite (my wife is in a store and I'm posting from my phone, etc). I've not forgotten you all and I've not quit.
I tell you, though, these mass combats have a TON of rolls! I'm honestly pretty amazed at your ability to wade in, outnumbered 4 or 5 to 1, and win. I'm not cutting you any breaks for ill-advised plans... the fact that you're surviving thus far is meritorious.

I think I'm caught up - if I missed anything, let me know.

I guess there's no hope for saving his skin. I'm betting that took him below -10 hp. What a way to go, though.

To die gloriously in the service of one's goddess isn't the worst way of going. Just get the damned Fingers and destroy them. That might-could take care of the bad ass dwarf skeletons. Too bad. He had hoped to cast CLW on Huckleberry so the bear could carry all the wounded out. And drag a bound, trussed and gagged Goblin King.
By the way, after so many fumbles form the Grizzly Woman, she kicked ass in that fight! Go Grizzly Trunk!

Seriously! Whatever happens now, I'll be satisfied with her performance in this fight.
Re: OOC Chatter I
don't worry, Foxy will take his ashes and bury them under the tree in Gaul, that one dedicated to the memory of Beth, nailing up a sign saying, "In honour of Clay and his dog, please sow your seed generously beneath this tree."
Foxy is sure that is the epitaph he would have wanted.

Technically, I think the Halfling has 2X to 3X the body count of the rest of the group combined.Rusty Tincanne wrote:And as an aside, isn't Markd the fighter in the group? He's leaving a halfling and a thief to do the grunt work?
