Re: To The Steading
Duvli prepares his silence, 15' radius spell for casting. Well, what do you think? Right now? Or should I wait a little?
These are ghouls. They hang out in graveyards, they have long tongues, and they eat people.

Joven "I once knew of some non thieves that could cast spells to find traps do we not have anyone capable of such a spell among our troupe?"

Re: To The Steading
The party takes off from the boulder offering cover in a similar formation again. Master of Dragons, Vacarxia and Cathedra move out in front in a line about thirty feet wide. They are followed by Joven, Fergus and Duvli that have formed a similar line behind them. Bringing up the rear are Wilryn and Saphrax. Everyone is trying to keep low in the grass that's spotty but about two feet high in most places. Moreeth, in bird form, roosts on Saphrax's shoulder while his small dragon takes a look forward.
The small dragon fly's forward and lands near the door. Saphrax receives mental communication that nothing is there but it can hear what sounds like snoring from the watch tower.
After about thirty minutes of travel you all reach the door.
The Steading appears to be made from logs all around. Just like before: no windows are apparent. The log work appears to be about three feet thick. Very large trees must have been moved here to build it. The door is roughly six feet high by seven feet wide. There is a key hole in the door that takes a larger than normal key. The wood appears to be very damp, having absorbed the morning dew. There are several chimneys spewing light smoke a top the structure.
You all hear the snoring coming from the watchtower, a sort of low guttural snoring. Then out of no where you hear a muffled burst of laughter and shouting from within the Steading. It subsides as quickly as it started but it does sound like the late night inn/tavern ruckus you would hear in any town.

Cathedra looks at the large keyhole, turns to her companions, and raises a questioning eyebrow. She then quietly examines keyhole to see if she can tell if the door is locked.

Re: To The Steading
Vacarxia checks for traps as Cathedra takes a closer look at the lock. There are no traps present but during the search Vacarxia sees that the hinges for the door are rusty and the door is a bit swollen into the frame. The door is locked but the mechanism is somewhat crude. Squirting a bit of oil on the mechanism allows for it to be picked quietly. With a very slight "click" the door is unlocked. Cathedra looks up with a smile.
The entire party hears another round of laughter and hooting from deep within the building.
