Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Travix ponders the dwarfs idea. He is willing to do away with the small band of goblins but, he waits to say so until the others have expressed their opinions.
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Salt Peter: "An' 'ow d'ye ken their outpost be ther same ruins we be 'eading t'wards?"
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Tip:
"Yes, I think it best that we deal with the goblins now while we know where they are. I wouldn't want the vile things skulking around our backs."

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Hennoth nods his head with determination, his grip on the mace tightening. He gestures as if to ask if the others want him to go around to help flank the goblin troop.
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Salt Peter nudges Tip and hooks a thumb towards Hennoth, saying, "'Ow quickly they grow up, aye?"
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Hennoth disappears into the brush. You can still hear a goblin talking and their group seems to be heading to the north.
[1d6] = 1
A crack is heard somewhere ahead of you and the goblins are suddenly silent. A harsh whisper is heard in goblin.

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Travix winces at the noise, knowing full well that the proverbial jig is up.
He moves away from the others, giving them the "get ready" look as he leaves. He heads in the opposite direction that Hennoth went and shouts out in his best goblin dialect and accent.
Hey! You rats got any food to share?
He then prepares the items he needs to cast his Sleep spell again.

The snapping noise prompts Tip to nock an arrow and ready his bow.

Graela Windborn
Graela also winces at the loud snapping of wood, figuring Hennoth did not watch his steps. So, she grabs her spear and quickly moves in the direction Hennoth took. If she encounters a goblin, she attacks without hesitation.

Travix:
A shocked voice in goblin calls out sharply to Travix’s statement. Who is that? Tell me now!
And then a little more craftily, who are the pets in our cave?
Travix readies a spell as he listens intently.
Tip:
Tip nocks an arrow and stays in place. He sees Travix disappear into the woods to his left and watches as Graela and Salt Peter disappear ahead, and circling to the right, in the direction that Hennoth took.
Graela:
Graela slips through the trees with determination as she grips her spear. She can just start to make out Hennoth standing in a small clearing when she hears rustling to her 10 o’clock. Hennoth is staring intently ahead of him as if listening to something else.
Salt Peter:
Salt Peter moves ahead after Graela, bow at the ready. He sees her halt and hears the rustling right after that. The trees seem to thin out some ahead of where Graela stopped, which may make the bow more effective.

With bow readied, Tip cautiously follows to the left toward Travix.

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Travix is glad to see Tip following him.
He walks slowly towards the voices, hoping that he can make out the group of goblins so he can cast his spell at them.
As soon as he can see the main group, he uses his magic to put them to sleep.
If he can cast the spell in the goblin tongue, he will do so for a dramatic effect and to keep them as confused as possible.

Travix and Tip:
Tip moves closer to Travix and the two of you can hear something approaching from at least two points in the greenery ahead. As Travix begins speaking in goblin with strange sibilance the goblin who had just spoken makes another statement, sounding uncertain. There is more than one instance ahead of sudden breaking of brush and then silence ahead of the two of you.
Travix:
Graela and Salt Peter:
The two of you can kind of see a goblin emerge from the underbrush on the far side of Hennoth. The boy gasps and turns to the creature and raises his mace.

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
If Salt Peter has a clear shot, he will fire on the goblin. If there is a chance of hitting Hennoth, however, he will instead rush the goblin with his axe.

Travix nods rapidly at Tip and then uses his long index finger to make a wide circular motion followed by a throat slitting motion.
He stays as quiet as possible, moving in the direction of the last sound that he heard.

Graela Windborn
"Hennoth! On your right!" Graela hisses, charging forward with her spear to attack the goblin...to no avail.
Spear attack: [1d20+1] = 1+1 = 2, [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5

Travix and Tip:
Travix slinks forward quietly until he comes across a sleeping goblin. This one has a necklace of several long claws strung along its length.
Tip- do you move forward to check the area?
The two of you hear crashing in the brush to your right a ways and Graela hissing something loud enough that you can tell hiding is not on the agenda over there.
Graela and Salt Peter:
Salt Peter did not have a clear shot with his bow. Graela had a chance to get to Hennoth's side in time... except for rolling that 1.
Graela hisses a warning to Hennoth and rushes forward to aid him with her spear. She suddenly stumbles over a root and just barely keeps from going sprawling into the brush. While she keeps her feet, her momentum is lost as Hennoth and the goblin engage. Hennoth raises his mace and swings on the goblin as the goblin lunges forward for a low slash at the boy's thighs. Both of their swings go wide and the two readjust to look for an opening.
Hennoth to hit [1d20+1] = 8+1 = 9 damage [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
goblinto hit [1d20] = 3 damage [1d6] = 2
Salt Peter does not see a clear shot with the branches in the way as well as two companions between him and the diminutive goblin. As he rushes forward with his axe, another goblin suddenly emerges immediately to his left. Both of you are shocked to see the other only a few feet away.
Salt Peter- please roll 1d6 for initiative
goblin initiative [1d6] = 5

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
The goblin emerged from the brush right beside Salt Peter. The two are shocked to be almost on top of one another. Salt Peter, already charging with axe raised, pivots to swing on this one instead. The creature looks below to see the halfling's axe blade seated down to the haft in its chest. It gurgles once before collapsing to the ground, dead.
