I'd agree that we don't want Hennoth in the absolute rear, both because he's our guide and because he's not a road-hardened, professional caravan guard, and so may be less aware of someone sneaking up on us from behind.

I am unclear on where people are at this point. The group had entered the front doorway of the fort, went forward past a left/right hallway, crept forward through a large central room, and listened across another left/right hallway to people in a room just beyond. Then the group came back through the central room and crept down the first right hand hallway to a room (on the left side of this hallway) with horses when footsteps were heard in the hallway. Now where for each of you?

I thought we were all still in the make-shift stables. Tip was going to go back to the room where he heard the men speaking to see if he hears anything that will reveal their intentions.

Yeah, by my reckoning we're still in the stables, tucked away in hiding places we scattered to when we heard the footsteps. Except for Tip.
