Kragg "If you would like I can double check the trap door once you are done." the dwarf says to Phineas.

While they check the trap door for traps, Yon will wander back to the statue of Lunia in the antechamber and examine it. Lord of Light. How has your wife been desecrated in this place? What can your humble servant do to make things right, he prays quietly as he looks over the statue in detail, trying to ascertain something new.

Hex will hold the candelabra aloft so that more light shines around the area the others work. He will keep his eye out on the way the party have just been in case something follows

Osprey pipes up, I thought people wanted to fully explore this floor before we went to another. We still have a few unexplored avenues here. Also, the north doors in this room go the same direction as we heard the weeping sound from...if the weeping came from beyond the rubble, that is.

Wil agrees "Yes, we should finish exploring this level and find the source of that weeping. Someone could be in need of assistance"

Kragg the dwarf agrees with Osprey "Yes Osprey is right let's uncover what other mysteries this floor has left to offer us before descending to a new one."

Phineas ascends the mysterious stairs to the south, searching for traps along the way. After reaching the top, he is certain that they are clear of anything harmful. The cunning halfling is soon joined by the dwarf, Kragg, and crouched at the top of the stairs, the pair of thieves examine the 10' long by 5' wide marble slab embedded about 6 inches deep in the ceiling. The slab is also tested for traps, and it too is determined to be safe.

Yon reverently approaches the statue of Lunia and is awed by its exquisite beauty and craftsmanship. He searches over the sculpture, trying to glean answers. The desecrated eye sockets prove quite disturbing, and the priest surmises that they most likely once housed gems.

Aric’s torch sheds light on the darkened passage to the north, and he spies a set of double doors at the end of the corridor.

Questions arise about how to proceed within the shadowed halls of Dimwater.

Wil nods appreciatively at the group at the trap door, "Well done - we seem to have a clear path of escape if things take a tumble. Let's head to that north door (the hallway above Rm 5) and put to rest our nagging feeling that someone remains in need of our assistance..." With that, he turns and heads to the door and listens and checks for traps.

Not sure if I misunderstood. Ceiling trapdoor at head of stairs in room 5 is not yet a clear path of escape since no one has tried to open it. It could be stuck, it could take an hour to figure out the release mechanism, etc. We do have 2 shafts we know go to the surface though...assuming anyone can make it that far once disaster strikes. :D

Osprey positions himself to have a clear line of fire through the doorway to the north.

Hex will move with the others, ambling along with the lit candelabra held high. I shall watch our retreat whilst you burly types explore the corridor, yes yes yes!" he says excitedly, his multi-hued robes swirling around his bare hairy feet as the long haired halfling follows.

Aric, barbarian

"Phin, Kragg - do your keen eyes spot trap ahead or at yonder door?" Aric points down the hallway.

Kragg moves to the Northern doors in the larger room Rm 5 and checks them over as best he can. Find/Remove Traps (35%) [1d100] = 81

Phineas flashes a smile as Aric and Kragg request that he explore the hall for traps.

"But of course! I will be more than happy to oblige. Now, if you will kindly step aside and allow me to perform my art, I shall begin." With this, he slinks down the hallway, keeping an eye out for the possibility of pits, pressure plates, or tripwires. When he reaches the double doors, he checks there as well and turns to report, "Fear not, gentlemen, our path to affluence is now clear."

Aric turns the latch/knob of the door then kicks it open dramatically, steel bared and shield raised.

Osprey follows after a safe distance to allow for repositioning or retreat of those first entering. He looks for any heat signatures in the dark and listens for any signs of danger.
