P.T. Codswallop, halfling impresario:

As the dwarf was lowered into the deep, dark hole, Phineas said to the big, shirtless roustabout, "You shouldn't speak unkindly of poor, brave Kragg like that."

Then, "I hope my rope will be all right."

The group hears the loud grinding sound of metal on metal issue forth from the depths of the tunnel...

Osprey Palearctic, elven fighter/magic-user

Bow at the ready, Osprey peers down into the darkness to see if any threat is visible to infravision.

Osprey peers down into the shaft, and he can see Kragg's silhouette in the dwarf's torchlight. He appears to be pulling on something, but the elf is not completely sure as his infravision is spoiled by the torch.

The metallic grinding from below suddenly ceases, begins again, and then halts altogether. Aric and Yon feel Kragg tug on the rope, signaling that the dwarf wishes to be hoisted up.

Kragg tugs the rope as indicated for pulling him up. Then walks over to the shaft and looks up "Hey can yah pull me up for a minute?" in nobody starts pulling him up he will try and climb up the metal rungs.

Kragg once up reports his findings. To the others "First room is safe. However appears to be a tunnel network down there. I didn't think it wise to explore it solo."

Wil praises the dwarf's bravery "well done master dwarf. Are these tunnels also sizable enough for us human folk as well? Any clues or tracks that caught your attention?"

P.T. Codswallop, halfling impresario:

"Yes, well done courageous Kragg, and please do tell. What was that cacophony from below? Here, allow me to help you with that." The mighty showman proceeds to untie his wondrous rope from around the dwarf and coils it back into his pack. "Did the passage look as if it might lead us into the temple?"

Kragg "Well to be honest at the bottom of the shaft which I wager is about thirty foot down was a room with ankle deep water a door and a lever. I opened the door using the lever after making sure no traps the door opened to a long passage and yes the space would be about big enough I think for us all to walk single file maybe two by two but i doubt that. As for where it leads can't really say didn't test my senses down there for direction and such."

Hex listens intently, clapping the dwarf on the back impressed.

"Which way does the passage head? Towards the main structure or away from the grounds, hmmmm?" he asks enthusiastically

Kragg "Again hard to tell where stuff is heading around underground if it helps yah I'll draw a map of what was what down there." the dwarf finds some dust and draws out as much as he saw and checked.
this was the map I was shown for what I explored/saw

If Kragg can show us which wall the tunnel heads off we could see if it heads towards the main building. It just says image there sadly.

Kragg scrawls a quick map of what he saw below in the dust of the library floor. The tunnel seems to run to the northeast, which would indeed be in the general direction of the temple.

Hex smiles at the dwarf and claps him on the back. "Very brave you have been yes yes yes. Perhaps this would be a good way to enter the main building, and stop the thief's nagging to boot hmmmm. Are the rungs secure do you think?."
