Reorganizing inventory/weapons in PC sheet

#1 Post by Starbeard »

How difficult would it be to implement a 'move up/down by one row' button on the inventory and/or weapons tabs? For example, as it is now if I want to put 'Rope (50 ft)' somewhere in the middle of my inventory list, I have to delete and re-enter every item below it, to make room. It would definitely make organizing things much quicker if you could instead type in 'Rope (50 ft)' at the bottom, and then click the 'move one space up' button next to it until it goes where you want in the list.

It's not a big deal really, just a thought.

It's a good thought, especially for those of us with inclinations towards OCD behaviours...

It is doable but not a simple change. I'll add it to the TODO list and reply here when I get to it.

What about a simple alphabetize? That's easier.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I think people who would have the urge to keep things organized would ultimately want to organize the list by groups rather than alphabetically (dungeoneering stuff, magic stuff, misc stuff, etc), but I think alphabetizong is a good first step, and I'd be happy with that, actually.

I figured adding row shifting would be a bit prohibitive in terms of work, so my vote would be for whichever method is the easiest.
