It's ok... I'm not sure if anyone ever actually opened it...?

In any case, the spellbook contains:
Magic Rope
Sharpness

I'll have him learn Charm Person for now. What is his INT bonus?

The spellbook from Storage had:

1 Spellbook (Charm Person, Light, Ventriloquism)

But! Did we give that to Climent? I'm confused where these other spells are coming from.

Apart from that, yes I think we give U Tar and the mercs a month advance on wages to keep them happy, 2 weeks of coin to pay for pig delivery. I like the idea of the mercs moving camp to the tower once it's complete. That makes sense.

And yes, let's hire a wagon to move the stuff. We should put it in non-descript sacks and pile some foodstuff sacks on top so it looks less like a treasure parade.

You had a spellbook from Frederico, and one from a mage whose body was found in the oracle room

U Tar has 2 spells, but his int bonus is 2, so he can add one more to his repertoire.

With Quinn's gimpy leg, would he need a horse or mule for the trip to Adamas? Or need to ride in the wagon at least?

With Quinn's gimpy leg, he needs to take it easy, and can't exercise it for more than 8 hours a day, and even then he can't carry as much weight. So technically he can walk it, but riding might be better.

Quinn

Will be happy to play 'wagon master' and he is a dab hand at 'bushmeat' cooking and serving the delights of the forest, so you won't go hungry on the way.

"Solaine, how can my leg get fixed up good? Your scarab damage seems fine now. What 'healing arts' are out there in Adamas?" Quinn asks about Solaine's previous recovery and what he can expect from approaching a minister to perform such a duty? Is it a simple cost transaction or do they require some performance as an absolution?

Solaine describes her visit to the Temple of Tyche and how she was healed in exchange for a donation and a promise to ask the Oracle if Termax has returned.

"We should probably get a wagon and some horses for the trip there and back, will make it quicker, so we can get back sooner. Zim, do you want to go to Adamas, or stay here with U-tar? Ride herd on the mercs and supervise the tower and pig delivery?"

Zim, ever practical and hands-on, is happy to take charge of the various responsibilities at the camp. His plan is to move everything over to the tower as soon as possible. He's worried that there might not be enough men if something bad happens, and asks for some extra money to recruit more mercenaries.

between the mercs and the pigs. It'll cost 17/week, and technically you guys are a week behind. Shall we assume you're leaving 4 weeks of pay for them? This would be 85 gp (including the back pay) We can effectively reduce the 8000 from the treasure by this, just to make things easier. U Tar and Zim need 28 each to go 4 weeks.

You get things together, hire the wagoneer, and head down to Adamas. It's a 2 day journey by road, mostly through farmland. The trip to Adamas is uneventful, and you eventually reach the city gates.

Adamas is a lawful city, which primarily reveres Typhon. Law is enforced harshly and vindictively. At the gate, the guards ask to see what you've got in the wagon. The toll they ask is 1 gp.

Inside the gate, there is an area that is mostly for tourists and visitors... places where caravan guards and such hang out. There are a few other districts that you have familiarity with.. the docks, where the poor and the criminal element tend to live, the rich area around the Temples, etc. Poor farmers and squatter tend to live in the area around the outside of the city walls. Last time, you stayed in a little dwarven area. There are other areas, as well, but these are more familiar to you. If you want to go to other types of areas, you can pay a boy a small fee to take you/direct you there. Is there anywhere in particular you want to go first?

Quinn

Do we 'cash in' all the treasure and gold and divide it out now or later.

Quinn, will ask Solaine about her church protocol, not knowing what to expect, certainly not a group of vestige virgins pandering to his needs in a bath like for Solaine. Are there other avenues of healing from just sling it and rest, prayer and the laying on of healing hands or getting a bionic boost fitted?

"I don't know about the rest of you, but packing all this shiny stuff around makes me damned nervous. We should hawk it, and quick. After that, I've got half a mind to buy you all a drink!"

Torgyr would like to arrange the sale of their loot asap. Then they can see about various other things like healing up Quinn, etc.

"It's not my church," says Solaine. "You'll have to ask Galen."

She agrees that sale of the loot should be the first priority, followed by seeing to Quinn's leg. At some point she would like to visit the Temple of Mavors to see if they can offer assistance for the new chapel in Muntberg.

Coming in the first night, you stop in the Adamant Arms hotel, near the gate. It's fancy, and kind of conservative, but they have good security and large chest for securing your valuables in the room.

Galen explains to Quinn that the Temple of Tyche is run by a Matriarch named Morna, who also happens to be a member of the Senate of Adamas, so no monkey business. She will arrange a healing ceremony for a donation to the church. Given the seriousness of the injury, Galen suggests that the donation should probably be at least a couple hundred gold, but he leaves it up to you how much to give, and tells you it's not simple payment for services.

Galen also invites Quinn to consider pledging himself to the service of Tyche, who is mistress of fate, and the one you are praying to when you tell someone "good luck!" Conversion is not a requirement to benefit from the healing, though he points out that you're acknowledging the power of the god when you go get healed, so why not go that one extra step and accept that your fate, good or bad, is not completely within your control.

Given the size of the market, the jewels can be fairly easily converted directly into gold, if that is what you would like to do. If you want to shop for a better price for this large load of jewelry, it's possible but you would really need an agent to make that work (the new merchantile rules really penalize a small merchant's ability to take advantage of the big city's market without a Venturer.)

Torgyr helps get things sorted out at the hotel, doing his best to keep a low profile given the pile of loot they are hauling. He nods at Galan as he explains the process to Quinn.

"Have you fixed up in no time, they will. In the meantime, I don't think we should be waiting around trying to fetch the highest bidder for this stuff. Let's just unload it so we can get back to what we do best."

Randolpho will give Zim and extra week's wages so he can celebrate while we are away in Adamas, if he wants. (-35 gp in upkeep).

Once we get to town and settled into our place and we are done converting our money into gold. Randolpho will advertise for a Venturer to join him. Once the advertisements are set, and the meeting place announced in the week, he will sent someone to his former mentor's cottage to arrange an appointment.

Torgyr and company have no difficulty selling the jewelry. They estimated the value in Adamas well, and they manage to get 8000 gp in return from a group of dwarves Torgyr has some acquaintance with. They now have big bags of gold instead of a cart load of jewelry.

Quinn heads to the Temple of Tyche with Galen (and...?). The Temple is actually a large Temple compound, consisting of several buildings surrounded by a high wall on the top of a hill overlooking the city. A group of teenage girls dressed in simple, but revealing, outfits, meet you at the gate. They lead the group to a round room with a marble floor. The walls are covered with frescoes somewhat similar in style to the ones you've now seen lots of in Dwimmermount. They show a harvest, business being transacted in a market, a ship sailing on stormy seas, and some big battle in a war... various things which might fall under the purview of the Goddess of Fate.

After waiting a few minutes, a regal-looking woman in fine clothing enters. This is clearly Morna, the Matriarch of the Temple. How would you like to interact with her?
