Dice Bags

#1 Post by rredmond »

A weird topic for PbP folks, but there you have it!

This.

And my dice are in a repurposed pleather shaving kit bag. :)
*blink*

How many dice do you HAVE, Ron??

(As an aside, anyone can steal this idea if they want - we use a shaving kit bag to hold our GPS stuff. That way, when we go traveling, we just grab the GPS bag and we have everything we need - the unit, the dashboard holder, the power cord, the manual (not that I've ever read it). Perfect size. And if we ever stop somewhere, we throw it all into the black shaving bag and toss it on the floor in back and it's very innocuous.)
I don't have a ton of dice but enough :D and I keep them haphazardly in something that looks like this:

My 10yo keeps her dice, more intelligently, in something like one of these:

Her's are similar in color to the pink ones, though with some purple in it making them darker.

And the little case thingy is a bit busted up from when she DMed her 4th grade lunch table game. [proud papa!]

Empty box. Stuff is so good and so expensive I can't bring myself to get rid of it. It's a two or three time a year thing with my friends and I chipping in for it. Nectar o' the gods it is.

Ok, hell has just officially frozen over here!

After all of these years, yours truly has freakin finally got himself a dice bag!! :o

It's fairly small, and nowhere near as big as Ron's +2 green pleather shaving kit dice bag, but holds all my dice quite nicely. It's aqua blue on the outside, leopard print on the inside (yes, you read that correctly) and has a fine black pull string to keep all me dice safely contained. No more ziplock freezer bags for the caveman!

I'll update with a pic when I get around to doing so!

This is my attempt at a homemade dice bag. It was my first attempt but I think it turned out pretty good.

Your dice bag has an AC of 5, even from behind.

Seconded, though most of the crown royal bags I had got made into a quilt (that somehow got "lost" in this house somewhere.)

A buddy and I recently combined our groups dice into a Grippos Potato Chip Box. I don't have a picture but lets just say it's a tad heavy and the big thing is halfway full.

I just came across this thread. Dice bags and dice are fun topics. I've moved from a dice bag to a chest. More substantial though not as easily carried around.

a chest of dice... *stares in envy* Awesome!

I just have a homemade bag myself. I bought it from a player back in an old ftf session, they were making them in different fabrics, but I opted for a basic beige look. Will post a picture when I get the chance.

What is the thing with Crown Royal bags? Any idea why they got popular?

I had never heard of them before coming on US and DF so is it a US thing?

Don't know. I didn't use a Crown Royal bag until college. Bought a bottle of Crown Royal; after the bottle was empty, seemed like a good use for the bag.

Maybe it just depends on how popular Crown Royal is in your particular region?
