Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Ioriston addresses the group in a hushed tone: Perhaps we can get more information by addressing the manor proper.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Kelton whispers back.
I have every intention to go back and check the entire manor over. I just didn't want to spoil the nice folks enjoyment of our small victory so far. Let us gain what information that we can here and move on from there. We need a rest for a bit anyway. No point in spoiling the fun for these poor folks.
He makes his way to Stonehill with the crowd, listening for any rumors along the way.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Kael feels intense pride and relief when the crowd erupts in cheers. His chest puffs out a bit and he finds himself grinning from ear to ear. When he sees the Dendrar family surrounded by friends he moves over to kiss Sister Garaele. Miss me? he asks with a wink. After a suitable kiss or two, if he is that lucky, he then will head over to speak to Carp.
Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Gerland will make sure the Dendrar family are ok and see to anything they may need.

Ioriston would like to rest, regain some of his spells (Magic Missile / Burning Hands... The time for Sleep has past... Ioriston likes the flavor of battle too much), and wake up early to investigate the manor.

Aslaan
Aslaan will get a good night's sleep and be up early to get some supplies before the group heads off to the manor.

Kelton
I think we should hire some trustworthy townsfolk to keep an eye on the manor until we have a chance to return. Nothing dangerous of course, just some simple overnight surveillance in case anyone returns. It would be best for us to know what we are up against when we go back to finish the job.
Kelton talks to the friendly townspeople and tries to set something like that up through Harbin or the other town leaders.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Kael tries to steal a kiss from Garaele and Gerland escorts the Dendrar family home, while Aslaan heads over to the coster to deliver the weapons as promised to Linene.
At the Stonehill Inn, the drink is flowing freely and there is much laughter and not a little singing, albeit more than a tad off key. Halia finds Kelton and asks, rather loudly, "So, did you do what I asked of you? Glasstaff, is he dead? If so, where's the proof?"
Ioriston just wants to rest, but the crowd won't let him. Instead they push drinks into his hand and more than one of the local ladies try to get him to dance with them.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Kelton, the noble fighter answers Halia timidly.
We eliminated all of his thugs but were weakened greatly by the many battles once inside their hideout. By the time we found the evil mage, we were in bad shape and he tricked us with his magic. He ended up getting away from us in all of the confusion and, even though we followed, he was able to elude our intended capture.
If there is any way to make up for this, we are still willing to finish the job. I do not fear this mage, but he had the upper hand against us this time. That likely wont happen again.

Ioriston reluctantly enjoys the reveille far more than he either wanted or anticipated. Perhaps acquired knowledge through experience and battle may be, at the very least, equivalent to his books.
Ioriston will wait to see what the group decides. Glasstaff seems to have had a relatively clean getaway. He also wonders whatever happened to our captured dwarven friend.

Halia frowns at this, her mood turning quickly from good to sour. "Well...at least you ran him off," she says. "Maybe he'll turn up again, but I doubt it. Likely you won't get another chance."OGRE MAGE wrote:Kelton, the noble fighter answers Halia timidly.

She turns and moves away through the crowd, but Kelton doesn't have a lot of time to ponder this because a young lady grabs him by the arm and asks him to dance with her. She's a little on the curvy side, but she has nice teeth...that almost make up for the obvious fact that her nose is rather large for her face.

The dapper noble happily cuts a rug with the obviously less attractive commoner. He smiles a lot but secretly wonders what the group will pick as their next heroic endeavor. He ponders the idea of checking out the Sleeping Giant to see if any information can be learned about the wizards current whereabouts.
Hey cutie! Have you ever been to the Sleeping Giant tavern?

"Naw, that's a rough place. Redbrands and ruffians is about all that hang out there. 'Course, might be a few less from what I hear of your recent endeavors at the old manor place."

Im afraid I can't dance much longer, miss. I was just beaten into unconsciousness and nearly died a few hours ago, don't you know. I think I better go check on my friends.
Kelton tries to keep an eye on everyone in hopes that none of his friends overindulge in anything unsavory. He ponders the groups next move.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
As you are deciding where to go next, Qelline Alderleaf, Stitche's aunt and Carp's mother, comes to find you. You can tell she is heartbroken over the loss of Stitches, but she thanks you for making the town safe again. "Some men are going back to the ruins tomorrow and recover his body, along with any others that may be in there. But...I hear you are still searching for Sildar's friend who may be trapped in Cragmaw Castle. I have an old friend, Reidoth, a druid who recently set out for the ruins of a town called Thundertree, just west of Neverwinter Wood. If you are indeed looking for the castle, Reidoth can tell you where to find it because there's not an inch of the land he doesn't know."

Kelton
Thank you for the information, ma'am.
You should know that Stitches fought bravely and died trying to save the rest of us. He was a real hero in my eyes for the way he preformed under pressure. We did what we could for him but that damn Glasstaff was just a bit more evil than we bargained for.
You should go along tomorrow and take what you want of the stores for your hardship, ma'am. I will see to that if you'd like.
Kelton wonders if this Reidoth would be able to aid the group with possible locations for Glasstaff.

Kael thinks over everything that has been going on. Look, I dont know about you all but I have already fought enough for today. Lets get some eats, gear back up and get a good nights rest. We can talk over which way we are going over drinks and get out early in the morning.

Re: Chapter 2 > Phandalin
Kelton agrees with Kael and takes his leave. Before retiring, he mingles through the crowd. He does his best to plant words like "the town's saviors" and "heroes of Phandalin" around to see if they catch on. He isn't obvious about it but he definitely tries to brag up the actions of the group and especially himself. He actually thrives on the attention but tries not to show it too much.
Before he retires for the evening, he gives a little speech to the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen of the great town of Phandalin I beseech you! We have helped you out as best we can and we intend to continue to rid this fair town of its bullies and other problems!
It warms my heart to feel such admiration and appreciation from other folks who are just like ourselves. We do these acts of bravery and danger not for ourselves but, for those who can't do it for themselves!
What we have done today is just the beginning! We will not stop until Phandalin is a perfect place to live. But first, we must rest! Thank you all again for your fine hospitality folks! Good night then!
