Arena Battle: I haven't heard from smiler since he had to take time off for his finals. I'll get in touch and see what his timeframe is.

Newsletter: There's been a lot going on with PCs this campaign week (one still isn't even done with October Week 3!), so I've been holding off on it. Everyone's just about moving on, though, and it should be about time for a game-wide newsletter anyway. I'll put one together, but it'll have to wait a little bit, because:

Vacation: I'm on a business trip all next week, and vacation the week after that. I'll try to update games if I get a chance, but don't expect anything for two weeks.

Thanks everybody!

Thanks for the wait, everyone. I'm back from holiday and have updated all of the private threads.

There are still 2 characters who are in the current week, but look for a campaign newsletter this week anyway, as most of the action has already wrapped up.

Rain check: I have to wrap up editing the last of my dissertation and will be putting my GMed games on hold until next Friday (the 2nd).

Stay cool, and keep the sand out of your eyes.

Sorry for the delays, guys. Just finished my thesis and all the printing delays are killing me! I'm trying my best to update today.

Hi everyone,

Just got back from my trip, which has been complicated with some internet connection issues and dealing with hospital visits for the sick wife. Things have slowed down now, and I should be updating everything by tomorrow.

Let's post our finished characters here in this thread: Tablet of Heroes.

I still have to clean that thread up from last time, so ignore the rest of it. We were originally playing where everyone had hidden PC sheets, but I'm not going to worry about that this time.

Silvermane: I see your rolls, but I don't think I can view your character sheet until you post it or share the Character ID number (should be listed at the top of the sheet).

The sheets are explicitly for old school D&D, though. I think it will be easiest if we keep our character sheets as posts in the Tablet of Heroes thread, linked in the post above.

Yeah, my character sheet is up now. Rolled quite well on this one - Only bad things really are WS/BS - Even with my +2 to the BS Primary roll for being an elf I couldn't roll above 7 with a re-roll :( Will not sniff at the initiative, number of skills, constitution and Toughness C elf though!

So right now we have these interested players:

lordfalco
Rex
rossik
Rusty Tincanne
Silvermane

I've cleaned up the game forum and posted the opening for Scenario 1, "The Rebellion of Odawal." Give it a look: viewtopic.php?f=273&t=8096

After we get our characters rolled up, the next step is for everyone to decide 1) whether all players will be on the same side or if we'll have teams pitted against each other, and 2) which side you will take.

Players will only know the army list for their side, and won't know the deployment of the enemy. Your task will be to scout the area, locate the enemy and complete your objective before they do. This is a roleplaying wargame, so feel free to come up with creative approaches! Also, while the basic scenario is already laid out, there is still room for unexpected events and encounters rolled up by me, the GM, so expect at least a bit of the unexpected.

In the top right corner of the webpage is a big D20, which takes you to the dice rolling site when you click on it.

You'll have to log in to that separately, then create a character and link them to this campaign (Campaign ID 331).

Then in the dice roller, make sure you have your PC selected and put the dice you want to roll in brackets, like this: [1d6], [2d6-2].

You can also label them so that we know what you're rolling for: "Initiative [1d10]", "Secondary WS [2d6-2]".

Once you make the roll it gets logged in the campaign, but you can also cut & paste the code at the bottom to your posts here.
