Existing players: sorry for the slowdown as I was getting the new players ready.

New players: welcome! Don't forget to post your character description in the Tablet of Heroes, and let me know if you are okay with PvP conduct if you haven't already.

I'll kick things off with the new players tomorrow night.

And we're live with the new characters! I'll respond to the existing characters tomorrow, bed time now.

Everyone: I'm trying out using a print-style newsletter for the Chronicle rather than normal posts, since a) it seems a bit more immersive, and b) it's a lot easier & quicker than having to format all that bbcode. Let me know what you think. If it just makes it more difficult for you to read, I'll try figuring out something else.

Ideally I'd just post it as a PDF, but unfortunately PDF attachments can't be read on here, and I don't want to force you all to download a PDF every time there's a Chronicle newsletter.

The newspaper style is very nice, I like :)

Also, the thread to say if you're okey with PvP seems to have disappeared, so I guess I'll just put it here: I'm good with PvP

I like the newsletter style very much. Downloading a PDF is no big deal for me either if that makes your life easier.

I''ll chime in too, that I'm OK with PvP.

Thanks for the feedback!

I've got new orders now from just about everyone. The weekend crept up on me, so responses will have to go out tomorrow—some will go to public forums and some to private, so watch both places.

To anyone else who I haven't already told in private threads: I've got a major dissertation deadline coming up next week, so my apologies in advance if it takes me a couple of days to get back to your posts.

Hopefully after this deadline I'll have time to get the battle arena rules posted. The rules will be pretty simple: I'll outline a battle objective, and anyone who wants in can either use their current character or quickly roll up a new one. Each PC will then evenly divide their side's money to build a few units to lead, then it's off to battle.

Thanks!

Finally getting the arena stuff together. I'll have a table for putting armies together within the next few days, as well as a scenario for the first battle.

It's not in the arena rules yet, but I'm going to try and stick to a strict rule that orders for arena battles have to be posted by Wednesday and Sunday. If someone hasn't posted by the time I sit down to process the turn then they default to A.I. mode for the turn.

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be very busy with my dissertation for the foreseeable future, so I'm going to try keeping a strict schedule on this game to help things on track, effective immediately:

I'll be checking in on the campaign threads every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. I might be able to get back to you in between, but probably not. This should help keep everything flowing more smoothly.

I'll be checking in on the arena battle (once that starts) every Wednesday and Sunday.

So, everyone expect a campaign update tomorrow.
Thanks!

There are new openings for anyone who wants to play in the arena thread, due to player MIA. Turns will be processed Wednesday and Sunday until one side wins. Expect to embrace the chaos when none of your army does what you want it to do. :)

I'll also advertise in the site's main recruitment forum, but the more the merrier.

Here's the main scenario post: viewtopic.php?p=245548#p245548

No problem, take care of that stuff first. Let me know when you're ready to jump into the arena.

Hey everyone,

I've got deadlines I've got to complete in the next week, so I won't be able to update anything until after the 15th. Have fun!
