I rather like the fake wall idea more, but everyone needs to do it if that's the plan.

Based on the IC posts so far, it seems (to me anyways) that we are committed to the ambush/marbles/crates plan. I'm fine with that if that's what the group wants, but I want to make sure that's the plan so I don't waste Urdur's last spell.
WALL! WALL! WALL! :)

Hi everyone,

I'd like to move this along tomorrow morning. I hope there's consensus soon.
This once, you can alter your IC actions if you've changed your mind based on these discussions.

Is this where everyone stands?
  • 1) Illusionary wall: Urdur? Grothnak, Telkis!

    2) Hide in storage tunnel, and ambush them from behind: Pip? Bo? Hoom?

    3) Charm one of them: Bo? Pelias

    4) Some of you climb up to the surface and lure them away: Pip?

    5) No opinion: Mouser (Raven: Sorry, marbles won't work here. They'll just sink into the deep mud.)
I don't think Ingrid has expressed an opinion.

Pip throws his vote behind illusory wall, but will go with majority vote. The various other plans were spitballing. If we get spotted we kick ass, but otherwise try to hide.

Urdur supports the illusionary wall plan. If that's the consensus, I'll post it that way tomorrow morning.

Won't the men/creatures in the area know the wall isn't real? I'll go along, but I think it would Ven easily disbelieved.

I still favor charming a subdued villager, but that's Bo's call since it's his spell.

Mouser can go wall. He will cast dancing lights to mimic torch lights and have them move toward the cliff and the cavern to the north.

When they pass us - what do we do then? Attack from the rear? We can't leave 'em there right? :)

To give you time to do that, and for anyone else to add or modify their IC posts, I'll update the game tomorrow morning. Thanks.

SocraticLawyer wrote:Posting this assuming the wall plan is the group consensus per the OOC thread. If that is not the case, Urdur goes along with whatever the consensus plan is.
"Everybody, stand flat against the wall," says Urdur to the group. "I've got an idea. It should keep us hidden as long as we all stay flat against the wall and don't move."

With that, Urdur casts Improved Phantasmal Force, creating an illusion of the wall in front of the actual wall. Once he sees that it is in place, covering his companions, he disappears behind the illusion as well.
If what is coming at us are more mindless cultists, then this plan should work great.

We should remember that we found those weird snake men in town though. If it is more of those things coming, they might be able to sniff out a simple illusion. Especially with the way we all smell right now. :D

I am for giving it a try though. It is way better than a lengthy stalemate.

I will adjust my post so I don't waste the spell.

If they're snake men, at least we can kill them without feeling bad about it. :)

Yes sir, between the upper level and the lower level. The cut away view does a good job of showing it.
