The priest is in the doorway, right? Would Grothnak be able to fire at him if Grothnak moved to a southerly spot on the stairs?

Unfortunately, no, as per here, emphasis added:
    • Inferno wrote: Another gothic statue surprises the heroes in the dim candlelit chamber.

Strangely, it stands before the closed door to the bell tower.

      No wait.

      It's not a statue.

      It's alive!

It's the hooded priest. He could only be Father Abramos (FA), the shepherd of Briarsgate's flock.
The door is shut, and also obscured from Grothnak by the spiral stairs just above it.

Descending the stairs is faster than climbing them, fyi.

Thanks.

Is there any point to making an attack roll for Grothnak this round? I assume one cannot charge through a closed door.

Sorry, ToniXX. Movin' it along. :)

Also...

Sorry, OM. With 5 segments per transformation, and some flying movement between them, this can't all get done in one round, let alone opening a door too. :)

Next round, Bo can open the door to allow Pelias and Grothnak to charge through it. And not a moment too soon!

Grothnak is too busy killing he dead to chat, but I doubt the angry mob is after anyone other than us.

Ya, I'm not sure what it will accomplish if anything. I doubt it will do much good to try and talk to them now.

It might not be a bad idea to have someone behind them as they enter and start killing us though.

Most of them are level-0 mooks. The bigger question is how to stop them without killing everyone in town.

:) Warren Zevon rocks!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

So.

We're out of spells, three of us are unconscious, two of those three are bleeding out, everyone but Grothnak is in single digit HP at best, and we have an angry mob on the way.

Anyone have any great ideas?

Idea 1: Bar the door, hope the door the priest came through leads to an exit. But even if it does, we'd have to move Avril, Hoom, and Urdur somehow. Maybe we have time to dump oil on the stairs before barring the door.

Idea 2: Spread oil on the stairs and the landing, find a defensible position (the doorway?) and put Grothnak in front with Pelias right behind for aura benefit. Light the oil when the mob arrives. Grothnak fights until he dies a glorious death. Well, a fighting death. He won't find fighting a bunch of mad villagers to be glorious, but at least he'd die defending the unconscious party members, so that's something.

And...that's all I've got. Unless we can somehow scare the villagers away or figure out the "all clear" signal.

Maybe the priest's body will have something useful?

Speaking of which, Moogeye had a ring of protection +1 we should probably scavenge (sorry, Moogeye).
