I'm thinking full on "RUN AWAY" is the course of action at this point, eh lads?

I hope the folks down in the church's dungeons full of undead are appreciative that we are drawing the mob away from them, you know, all according to plan.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Including this here also, to make sure the "Village of the Bodysnatchers" PCs don't miss it:

It's not a matter of encumbrance. Ingrid Esthof wears Splint mail. Its base movement is 6". (PC move rates are included in 'PC Status' at the bottom of every full DM post.)

All the other PCs move at 9". Fyi, most villagers will likely move at 12". Dogs, faster than that.

Everyone, please post IC whether you keep pace with Ingrid at 6", or move ahead of her at 9". Thanks.
Got your answer, OM. Thanks.

Guess I can't make all that hullabaloo about splitting the party and then leave someone behind. :D

Those are same dogs that were hunting you on the second floor of the temple. Five minutes ago, your pursuers did that eerie human chain of shouting relay thing. Five minutes later, dogs are heard near the front of the church. :)

You know.....going back over the wall might not be a bad idea at all.

Let them all come after Bo and when they do, I will lead them as far away as possible before resorting to using one of his potions.

That might just work......or will it??? :D

Would we have time to get back over the wall, and back into the courtyard before they catch up to us?
And (if we are around the corner) can we do it without being seen.

Mouser will throw food in the direction that the druid ran... you know to distract the dogs. :D

Can we straddle the wall and riddle them with bowfire? We need to at least take the dogs out.

We could climb the wall, but they're going to see us before we all can get over. We could also throw a rope up, leave it, and continue after Bo. I'm not sure the cloak and food will throw the dogs off the trail, but it might work if they see a rope and hook attached to the wall.

We leave the rope but it might trick them.

It's hard to know. The scale on the village map is 20 feet per square.
If the villagers at "V" have sorcerous means to know your exact location, as Bo believes, it will be very close. They'll likely catch half of you.
If the villagers need to wait for the dogs from the front of the church to come around in order to hunt you, you should make it to the top of the wall at least before they reach you.
AleBelly wrote:Can we straddle the wall and riddle them with bowfire?
Yes but straddling the wall without using your hands, in metal armor, will mean a Dex save on 1d20 each round. Failure means falling damage. Also, any fumbles with the bow while so perched will also result in falling damage.

Well shoot then. Running is our best option.
Starting to feel an alignment shift... tend towards evil. But Mouser is still slowing down... I can absolutely outrun her later.

Thinking this is what the kids call metagaming, but Fulci hasn't logged in for a year at this point, correct?

So losing Ingrid isn't harming any player really. Though dangit, I'd hate to lose the paladin. :( Sigh...

Mant72 took over for Fulci, but he also had to leave the game. And not to worry Pelias is the paladin, Ingrid is the cleric.

I was thinking the paladin might stay behind on principal with her. You know how those types are. :D

She does have that neato signet that I'd hate for it to go to waste. I can't think of a way to get her to give it to me, so "bye Felicia!" (Except I'm doing the leaving but you get what I'm saying. :) )

How far can Urdur throw a flask of oil?

Is Urdur's cloak still covered in oil (from this post: viewtopic.php?f=265&t=5994&start=280)?
How do we know you're not a donkey-brained man?
