Hey!!! Stop looking in my pockets.....thief!!! ;)

Actually, I was thinking about polymorphing into a hippo or something like that to trample through all of the skellys, but I was afraid that, no matter what I chose to do, I waould also kill several party members in the process.

If you have a better idea that will not endanger friendlies, I am open to any suggestions. Dragon?

Mouse, to get through the skeletons, then to something that can keep the priestess busy?

Apparently, I need to take a closer look at that potions description.

I'll be away and offline until January 3rd. Happy winter solstice everyone.

(Sorry I pushed this along, Ale. Wanted to get one more post in before I left. I hope that's okay.)

Ok. I'm back.

Once AleBelly, Grog and OgreMage are back and posting, I'll get things moving again. :)

Happy new year, everyone!

Happy New Year, fellows.

Good news: I finished painting all our character minis (!) alive, deceased and currently unconscious (except Grothnak, for which there's a stand in- I've ordered a new, better mini that hasn't come yet). I'll get some images taken and get them up tomorrow just in time for the TPK... ;)

Sorry. I forgot to answer that.
Mouser discovers no secret doors at the top of the spiral stairwell.

I have been struggling against this, but the New Year has brought changes which unfortunately require me to suspend my PbP gaming. It has been a pleasure gaming with you all these past years, both as player and DM.

Thanks again and best of luck in gaming and life.

Sorry if my maps were confusing. The skeletons are on the same level as the PCs. The goblin archers are high above, near the top of the spiral staircase that circles the walls of this room.
Since Ingrid doesn't turn the skeletons... :o ...I'll use Pelais' attack roll against the skeletons.

As per the info in the "rolls and rulings" spoiler, it will take most people 2-3 rounds of full movement to reach the top of the stairs.

Guys, I'll have spotty internet access for the next few days, back to normal Tuesday. If I'm holding things up, NPC me as needed, etc. But if you do, make it super cool. Backflips, backhand punches and roundhouses to the face are all acceptable. Thanks.

OGRE MAGE wrote:Bo lands directly behind the uppermost goblins and transforms himself into diceros bicornis, a huge rhino that takes up most of the space on the stairs. Then he simply rolls over towards the shaft, hoping to crash himself and as many goblins as he can through the railing, dropping to their deaths at the bottom.

As he falls, he transforms back into a sparrow and begins flying back up towards the other group.
Ha. :D

It takes 5 segments to transform to a new shape, per the spell. So, your above post describes two rounds' worth of activity:
    • Round 1: "transforms himself into diceros bicornis, a huge rhino that takes up most of the space on the stairs. Then he simply rolls over towards the shaft" (Transform to rhino + move /attack 3 goblins)

Round 2: "As he falls, he transforms back into a sparrow and begins flying back up towards the other group." (Fall + Transform to sparrow + movement via flying)
I hope that's clear.

See the Rolls and Rulings spoiler of my IC post for more gory details. :)

On the northern wall, there are a few small, high windows, whose sills are ten feet high. Ceilings are 15' high.

Hi everyone.
With the 'spell slot' house rule on casting, I permit clerics/druids to use one 2nd level spell slot to buy two 1st level CLWs. Just an fyi.
Zhym wrote: What do I need to roll for that? I assume it's not a to-hit roll vs. a skeleton's AC?
It is. But if you miss, in this situation I'll use the 'short range' version of the rules on DMG p.64 to randomly determine the location of the miss. So only a '1' should miss entirely. Sorry, I've probably jinxed you now. :)

Throwing oil first and then lighting it?

Never. :D Throw first, then make sure you want to set fire to whatever the oil hit.

I edited my post to include the roll.
