Rules for rolling up characters:
  • Roll 4d6 for each ability, dropping lowest die. Arrange as desired.
  • Players may multi-class, but let me know your intentions (which classes and what race) before committing.
  • Starting gold will be 3d6x10.
  • Starting experience will be 4,500. I'm looking for everyone to be 2nd or 3d level.
  • All equipment is available.
  • I've decided against magic item loadouts, as we're starting at pretty low levels.

  • If you get a crap result on any roll (abilities, starting gold, starting hit points) just re-roll and hope for better :)

  • Everyone starts off with one potion of healing

Magic Items:

Background: The small tribe from which Cis comes is failing. Attacked by the normally peaceful Centaurs who co-inhabited the forest, blood was drawn from the silver sickle for which the high druid of his people used to cut his ceremonial holly used in the practice of is rituals. The blade was spoiled and in the following year the magic of the elder failed, when a strange illness befell his people their leader was no longer capable of bestowing healing upon the sick. Whilst Cis and the other adults remained strong despite contracting the disease (curse?) many children and old passed, now Cis has been chosen to leave the forest and find a cure for his people.

Description: Cis suffers from what his people call the deadwood, a plague that has blighted his tribe for the last year. His skin is rough and hard like the bark of a tree and at times the cold causes his chest to ache painfully like his heart was being gripped in the hands of a giant. Because of the illness Cis looks aged beyond his years, though his comeliness is somewhat diminished his natural charm and somewhat enigmatic character and innocence as a result of his sheltered life makes him appealing to others.

Description/Demeanor: Brok is a non-descript looking individual of slim build and average height. Background: Yarl only know that his mother was raped by an orc which he how he came to be. Abandoned early Yarl grew up on the streets in the slums. He survived due to his strength, cunning and utter ruthlessness. He has no qualms in taking from those he perceives as weaker and will bide his time when facing foes he sees as stronger.
Yarl is touchy about his racial heritage and is prone to anger at the mention of his upbringing. He prefers to be alone as he has never found someone that he could trust.

Appearance: Yarl’s appearance shows his racial makeup very well. His mixture of human and orcish features are easily on display while his skin is slightly yellowed. He wears his black hair cut short and often wear a leather cap over his head. He is fairly tall built thick with muscle.
Yarl walks and moves with an air of violence. His actions are often fast and brutal wasting no effort. He is usually dressed heavily almost to mask his appearance.
Yarl openly carries a club in his right hand while wearing a short sword belted on his left. He has a hand axe tucked in his right side belt.

Description:
When still, Veneficus seems quite calm, stern, even tranquil. The elf's movements, however, are swift and graceful, no doubt the result of his well-toned physique. Adorned in banded mail, he carries a long sword at his side and a shield on his back, along with a short bow and quiver. The hood of his dark green cloak is often used to conceal his race while traveling.
