Really? I like illusionists. This may not have been the best adventure to play an illusionist, but they can be pretty effective characters.
Well, not really if I'm honest. I still love the class. Next time, though, I'll try an illusionist/thief maybe, to have a practical skill to fall back on when I've picked the wrong spells for the second day in a row... :) And when there are only two days in your campaign...

I've been away from the boards until today.

'Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.'

'You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you have never had the courage to commit.'

These Wilde quotes on my character sheet were omens to Orando's behavior. Wilde ended up in jail too

Thanks OM for DMing. It was fun and different playing Orando. It is also nice to end an adventure organically instead of by DM desertion. I can count on one hand such adventures I've been in that were completed the right way.

Hey,
I'm travelling for work this coming week and don't expect to get online. I'll be back by October 3rd.

Please NPC my character if I'm slowing things down. If Ugghra detects evil on or around the Mayor, then: it means that she's freed Orando and he's likely standing in the room with us, invisible. If Ugghra detects the elf's evil, he'll attempt a surprise attack on him/her with his sword. If not, then on the "Mayor." Once the element of surprise has passed, he'll quickly explain to the group that the Mayor is the Demoness once again.

If Ugghra doesn't detect evil anywhere in this hall, then: he'll plan on attending a lovely dinner. He'll restock spells beforehand and detect evil at the dinner, as part of 'saying grace.'

A suspicious prig's work is never done!

Thanks. Have a great week, everyone.

I hadn't even been keeping track as I didn't think there was any reason to do so.

If I counted the 2 demons that were sucked into the imprisonment amulet, the totals would be considerable. Lets just say that it would have been more than enough for each of you to level. :D

I'm just glad we got it finished before another Gamehole Con. It took us just a bit longer than the four hour time slot in which you ran it last year.

Thanks Inferno.

For those concerned, the path that Grillock and Odilo took was a sad one.

They both put too much trust in an NPC who was working with one of the bad guys. Mukluk was working for Pitchfork, trying to do everything that he could to stop the party from figuring out that Pitchfork was drugging his grog (with the help of Gretta the alchemist) to get people addicted and ultimately sell more of it.

The pair was captured when they went to see Pitchfork in his office. They fell into the shaft trap after being tricked by Pitchfork. They were both in very bad shape and decided after some trial and error that breaking Odilo's staff was the only way to get out of their predicament.

You all saw the results of that idea once the bar was blown to smithereens. :D

Even though that didn't end very well for them, it was a fun little section to play out.
