The Bane of Brotherton Revealed
Round 6

Ozwaldus wants to retrieve Brother Tomas' amulet, hoping it will injure the beast further. He struggles to get away from the women though, as they eventually bring him down to the floor near the doorway. He looks out just in time to see Orando gleefully kicking the still unconscious Brother Tomas hard in the stomach.

Angella flails again wildly near Ugghra but, nobody really seems to notice. The nobleorc and the homely ranger will not cease their attack until this unholy creature is vanquished. They chop, stab, and slash at the disappearing mass of flab and gore, literally beginning to chop the huge thing into pieces as it dissipates. Father Dowling caps off the shredding by dousing the blob with the remainder of his holy water. Its disgusting skin sizzles some more as cries of agony fill the room. The heavy red mist in the air begins to swirl faster and then completely sucks into the form of the fading demon's obese carcass. With one last cry of intense agony as the fighters magic blades dig deep, it's transmutation into the ethereal plane suddenly ceases.

Partially ethereal but completely dead, the incubus' chubby arms fall to its sides, dropping to the floor the chains attached to the half eaten caged woman's arms and legs. The 5 dirty and stinky women rubbing themselves on Ozwaldus all drop to the floor unconscious. Angella instantly shakes off her desire to kill her friends. The room turns dark and cold once the red mist is gone. The only sounds you can hear are the bubbling skin of the now dead incubus, the whimpering from the half devoured chained woman in the cage, and Orando's boots stomping.

83 points of damage from Epi and Ugghra alone in the last three rounds? That seems a bit excessive, especially to the demon. Also a great way to avoid all the bad things it can do back to you.

Incredible run of rolls there!

Angella will shake her head, and then will rush to the half eaten chains woman to see if she can assist her. The sister will bind the obvious wounds of the human whilst asking her soothingly who she is. Does she recognise the chewed wench? Is it April?

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

The nefarious knight brought his sacred blade down to decapitate the demon's remains, ethereal or otherwise.

The curse lifted, his honour restored, the peerless paragon of virtue and decency held his head even higher than usual, straining his thick, swart bullneck to do so.
"Orando. Ah, There You Are. I See You've Found An Adversary Worthy Of Your Mettle."

Good Sir Ugghra joined the noble effort to aid the victims and search the demon lair.

Epi

Now Epi will pause having vanquished her foe (with assistance). She removes her helmet and wipes her brow. "Is everyone in control of themselves?" She cleans her sword and sheathes it. "Well fought all."

Father Dowling

The priest is able to relax now that the demon has been defeated. He is happy to see that the demon is no longer able to control anyone. He looks around to make sure everyone is okay, wait- Orando? What the... Nobody should be mind controlled, so that means... Orando! Cease this behavior immediately! The priest moves to prevent the elf from assaulting the fallen priest any further. You murdered a man not long ago, but I thought it was a "heat of battle" situation and you did not mean to wantonly execute a mind controlled, held man. I see I may have given you too much credit.

Ozwaldus extricates himself from the pile of women, disgustedly brushing himself off and straightening his robes. "No, that's fine. You're welcome... I'll take care of the stinky ladies, then..." he says. His disgust is soon replaced by pity as he remembers one of these must be the woman from the drawing. He begins scanning their faces and checking for signs of life.

Orando, elven magus

The swift kick to Brother Tomas is singular. Orando looks over to Father Dowling.

"Self defense indeed good pastor. An eye for an eye and all that."

"Ozwaldus, I wish I could have joined you in that orgy, but Brother Tomas was trying to strangle me."

"You're very welcome Sir Ughra."

While Epi rests and recuperates, the noble Sir Ugghra does what any good champion would do after a great victory. He proceeds to remove the head from the bloated demons carcass using his great sword. Epi asks around if everyone is in control of themselves while Father Dowling and Ugghra inquire as to Orando's slightly inappropriate behavior. The elf arrogantly claims that his kicking of the unconscious priest was only done in self defense.

Ozwaldus climbs out from under the pile and brushes the grime from himself as best he can. He studies his drawing while checking the pile of unconscious women. He finds them all to be still barely alive but, none are a match to the drawing.

Angella wonders if they have found the real April trapped behind the bars of the cage. The bloodied, middle aged woman does share a close resemblance. The monk finds no visible door or other means of entry into this partially submerged jail cell. She tugs lightly on one of the four chains, pulling over an arm and revealing that the half eaten woman inside the cage is wearing a large, gaudy ring on one hand, and nothing else. She continues her moaning and suffering, crying even louder now that the gluttonous incubus is no more.

"April, is that you?" the monk asks tentatively. Seeing the ring she suspects it is, and looks to see if it is healing the poor woman with its regenerative powers. If so that seems like confirmation.

The sister will search for entrances secreted around the bars as a way to get into the cage.

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

As Angella helps the poor, wretched victim, the wrong-headed, righteous champion inspects the demon's lair for more vile tools of evil, and anything else of note, whilst still residing firmly in the warm afterglow of triumph.

Not sure at all what to do, Ozwaldus straightens the women out, trying to make them as comfortable as possible. He'll experiment with trying to get them to drink a little water from his ever flowing flask. "I think they need healing, but they seem to be alive," he says. "A bath wouldn't hurt."

Epi

The ranger shakes her head, "I thought they were zombies...how long have they been here? Please check on the one I shot...I don't know if she can be saved or not." She goes to check on the woman with the arrow sticking out of her.

Orando joins in investigating the chamber.

"The mayor's letters we found showed erratic and shifting personality. Was that her falling under the demon's influence?"

Angella calls out to the woman inside of the impenetrable cage. The woman’s form shifts towards her slightly, possibly indicating that she understood the words. As she looks in on the poor soul, it seems as though her vicious wounds are slowly healing right before her eyes. The monk continues to search for a way inside but still finds no door or other means of entry. Ugghra looks around the room some more, finding a small well in one corner filled with stinky grayish water. He finds nothing else of note in this hidden chamber of despair.

Orando suggests that the mayor must have fallen under the control of the demon and the evidence found in her office shows how she slowly succumbed to his will. Father Dowling reminds him that the person who was acting as the mayor was also a demonic beast.

Ozwaldous helps out the unconscious women as best he can, even offering them water from his magical flask. The women don’t come around but, the do seem to be able to drink down a small amount of his offering. Epi develops a bad case of shooters remorse as she moves to check on the downed woman that the others called Tressa. The arrow still protrudes from her chest and she is still quite dead but, as of yet, she hasn’t turned undead.

Epi

Epi sighs sadly and looks back into the prior room, "Whatever became of the Sheriff and the guards." Assuming the Sheriff is still held, she will disarm him, just in case he was more than someone under the demon's influence.

Orando murdered the sheriff. The guards are still passed out from exhaustion in the entry shaft.

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

The smug, self satisfied swordsman sneered with stark suspicion at the sobbing soul as he silently speculated: Shifting Form? Wounds Magically Closing?

"Good Father, Kindly Arouse Brother Tomas, Won't You? ...That He May Positively Identify This Poor Wretched Creature as His Lost Love."

Murdered!? :o The man and his soldiers were a danger to us all, no doubt soon to be released from his hold by the demoness or a controlled cleric.

Orando, magi

"The sheriff perished in the heat of battle," answers the elf to Epi.

Orando continues poking about the room, glancing occasionally at the old unconcious women.

“The tragedy of growing old is not that one is old but that one is young.”

The ranger shrugs and looks down at the dead woman at her feet, "Well stuff happens in battle. I suspect the women of town will fare better with another Sheriff in charge."
