Epi

The ranger hoping the wax in her ears provides some resistance to the demon attempts to avoid the guard, circling to the left then charging into what she hopes is the center of the darkness. She swings her long sword but fails to hit anything [well hopefully fails to hit anything, as she certainly did not hit her target].

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

The nightmarish knight quickly fills his hideous ears with wax when instructed, thereby missing everything Orando said afterwards. ;)

If any priest casts Light to reveal their evil foe, then Ugghra will move forward and attack her.
If none cast Light, then Ugghra steps back and casts Protection From Evil upon himself to avoid being possessed yet again.

Ozwaldus gestures erratically, yet somehow maintaining a cool, collected air. For a moment his right and left hands change sides, then in a flourish correct themselves again. Suddenly, in a spray of sparks and a cacophony of rattling clanks, a huge length of animated ship-anchor guage chain errupts from the ground directly in front of Captain Taneel, moving like an enormous, swift snake. It rises up and then darts sideways, wending its way between the entranced human attackers and attempting to constrict and restrain them, pulling them together into a knot of entwined links.

Once the spell has been set in motion, he will insert his wax plugs...

Father Dowling

The portly priest will cast Protection from Evil upon Epi. He will then put the wax in his ears and wait his turn to descend into the tunnel. When he gets down, he will pick up his lantern and illuminate the way. Upon seeing the attackers in thrall to the demoness, he casts Hold Person upon Captain Teneel.

Beyond Cages
Round 2

Brother Tomas stays in the back once he sees the men coming to attack. He casts a spell that erases the area of darkness in the room, revealing a form of the demoness that you haven't seen yet.

Time seems to slow down to a near standstill as she carefully looks over your group. She stands there smiling at you and you begin to hear her voice in your mind.

Silly mortals. So cute with your wax and your protection spells. At least the fat one isn't interfering with my communications this time.

Do you really think you will stop me? Why would you care about this little shithole town, anyway? Tell you what......anyone that wants to live, you can turn around and walk away right now. If you stay to fight, you will surely die. Last chance! Flee or die!!!

Time resumes to its normal speed again as Epi and Ugghra immediately begin to charge at the demoness from opposite sides.

Ozwaldus begins conjuring up the illusion of thick chains that squirm around on the ground, while Orando begins barking orders. He commands everyone to plug their ears but then continues speaking as if they can hear him. Somehow, they still follow his unheard orders to the letter. Orando commands his porter to splash oil onto Taneel, but his climax is then wasted when he misfires badly with the bitch.

Angella steps up to attack one of the guards that she had so much trouble with before. She knows nothing of the chain illusion being created and simply barges right through it. The guard notices this and ignores the chains as well. He evades the halberd attack and tries to press past the monk in order to get at Brother Tomas.

The second guard sees the chains and tries to jump over them. He fails miserably and falls to the ground, unable to get to the priest. Captain Taneel advances mindlessly towards Brother Tomas as the illusional chains begin to wrap around him. Father Dowling puts a quick stop to that, freezing the sheriff instantly in his place with his hold spell.

Both attacks from Epi and Ugghra prove fruitless as the beautiful succubus begins talking to them in their minds. Ugghra thinks he hears guttural, diabolical snickering coming from his corner of the chamber, but when he looks over, he sees nothing there. (please see private threads)

Ozwaldus focuses on moving the chains to wrap up and restrain the fallen guard and the held Captain Taneel. He's not trying to crush them, just prevent them from taking further part. He'll calmly walk away from the immediate vicinity of the remaining guard, trying to impose Brother Tomas between the guard and himself.

Orando, pornomancer

"Panguine, take the torch and light the unmoving man there," says Orando, pointing his unseen servant to the oil-covered Captain.

Then the elf opens his spell book, intones the mystic words to Orando's Pleasureable Poke and points to the remaining guard. "Nostri Incantatoruss facit fertilis..."

If the guard had fled from Father Dowling's command (a faster-cast spell): Orando sees the guard flee and decides to target his spell on the demoness. Perhaps luck will be on his side and he will overcome her resistance.
Orando's Pleasureable Poke: Exquisite pleasure strikes the loins of the target. The orgasmic delight incapacitates the target, allowing no other action except sounds of pleasure (and perhaps pleas for more.) Save for no effect. Duration: 1 round every two levels of caster.

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

Too late, the hideous hero realizes that charging the demoness has made Miss Epi and him the primary targets for her mental domination, out of defensive necessity.

Suddenly, the upstanding defender of the law realizes that the Mayor has true authority over these territories and must be obeyed as surely as any monarch or noblewoman. The nightmarish knight administers righteous justice to this presumptive rabble of peasants, foreigners and entertainers, fulfilling his oath and restoring order and honour to these blighted lands.

The holy champion of the nobility calls upon sacred, blessed magic to preserve the divine right of the status quo, both figuratively and literally.

Casts Hold Person on Dowling, Orando and Tomas.

Sorry about the megapost. This should start tying things together for you.

Beyond Cages
Round 3

Father Dowling commands the unchecked guard to flee, which he happily obliges. He takes off running down the narrow hall towards the shaft. Angella whiffs at him with her pole ax as he passes her by. Ozwaldus yanks his chains some more, altering his illusion to squeeze the held sheriff a bit tighter. The tripped up guard gets to his feet and successfully dodges the chains this time. He moves over to Angella, missing her with a spear attack. Epi smiles wide as she lowers her sword and looks longingly into the hot demons dark seductive eyes. Definitely jealous of her looks, she inquires about her perfect hair.

Orando prepares a spell as he puts his last one to even better use. In his own diabolical mind, the pornomancer thinks it might be a fun idea to have his unseen porter immolate the held and chained weasel known as Captain Taneel. Right in front of the demoness, the sheriff erupts into flames. His flesh begins to char and his fluids boil over. His screams of pain are like a beautiful music to the she-demon's ears and this vile, completely evil act of murder begins to melt the nether creature's black heart. This makes her even more susceptible to the flamboyant wizards next trick.

With the guard now gone, the multi gendered mage wiggles his fingers in another direction. His original twist of magicks poke out towards the demon who suddenly appears to smile from ear to ear. The spell achieves no real success but, she begins to take on a much more specialized endearment towards the ancient elf.

Again, time seems to slow to a crawl while the succubus first addresses Orando and then the whole group. She shouts loudly enough to hear her through your earwax.

My dearest Orando! Trying to make me come? Just by wiggling your little fingers? You are not like the rest of these sheep, are you? What other surprises do you have in store for me I wonder? I think I could definitely find a use for someone with your specialized talents. Would you be willing to play with me all of the time, I wonder? She licks her lips again. Save vs. Spells please or fall madly in love with this creature.

She turns and begins speaking loudly to the whole party. Ha! It was an even easier fight for me this go round! And you all actually had time to prepare for this one!

She lays her hands on the shoulders of her new pets Ugghra and Epi, her long fingernails tapping out her obvious ongoing impatience. Since these two are the only ones here who could harm me anyway, I may as well tell you the truth. You know, I wasn't really going to let you escape. That was a lie. You may not know this but, you puss bags are actually quite tasty to some of my kind, though not really one of my own personal favorites. We have a couple of very hungry mouths to feed in here you see, including one that never never seems to be satiated.

She glares across the room at Brother Tomas with a look that could melt steel. From now on, you are also done causing me grief, priest! You can join your old girlfriend in the big cage for all I care!

The passage of time returns to normal when the now possessed Sir Ugghra takes a step forward. He casts his divine magic out at his own friends, trying to end this as quickly as it started. Father Dowling and Brother Tomas suddenly find themselves magically held in place. But at least they aren't on fire.......yet.

The Succubus smiles again as she sees even more of the party falling prey. She pats the halforc on the head. Splendid work indeed, my pet. I may just keep you around as well, if my help isn't too hungry that is. Speaking of my help. I believe it is time for an introduction.

She looks into the empty corner where Ugghra heard the grunting laughter emanating. Well? Are you going to say hello to the nice mortals as you have a bite to eat?

The evil emanations coming from this room have just gone up to eleven as a most hideous and vile monster suddenly appears before your very eyes. It looks like a bad combination of a giant ape and a boar pig. It has tiny feathered wings that don't look big enough to lift its massive 10 foot tall frame. It reeks of rotting flesh and fresh blood still drips from its many grotesque fangs and tusks.
image.jpeg
image.jpeg (72.99 KiB) Viewed 247 times
The succubus points at the group near the entryway. Well? There they are. Which one would you like to sample first?

And as if battling one demon wasn't bad enough to deal with, this beast also begins to move in the direction of the fiery headed Angella. It licks its bloody tusks as it nears, ready to take another big bite of man flesh.

if Epi and the half-orc have protection from evil on them should the Demoness even be able to touch them or control them, and if the fighter/cleric is Charmed his spell might have miscast due to the stress of The charm on his mind right?
Angella quickly legs it back to the other chamber, unstoppering a vial of holy water as she goes if the demon gets closer she will dump it over it. She is suspicious about the appearance of the creature and if it does not come closer she attempts to disbelieve it, thinking it a phantasm rather than a real thing. She's starting to think the same thing about the 'demoness' as well, and will try and disbelieve what she sees of her as well, hoping to be able to discern what's really laying beneath the facade.

Ozwaldus, at first satisfied to finally cast a successful spell that is of some use to the party, then becomes disillusioned when he realizes he's immobilized an already immobilized assailant, then his disappointment turns to horror when the charmed captain he was attempting to subdue is set alight and burns alive. His concentration on his pointless spell flags and the chains drop before evaporating into thin air. "Orando, he was charmed and held...!" he begins, then is startled by the appearance of the new demon. As if we weren't screwed enough already... he thinks, fleetingly. He feels certain he is about to die, but he can't just leave his companions. Can he? Terrified, he pulls out his magical darts in the hopes of performing one final, hopefully meaningful act...

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:

The traditionalist troglodyte moved to further deliver swift justice against this pathetic little rebellion to the rightful rule of law. He must confess to taking some small pleasure in this noble and necessary work, especially when focused upon the sinful, perverted, lewd, debauched degenerate, Orando, a living affront to decent, high-minded moralists of unimpeachable rectitude and virtue, such as the good Sir Ugghra himself.

If Orando or that other brazen suffragette, Angella, dared approach her Ladyship, then he would declare, "Fie Upon You, and For Shame, You Deplorable Little Strumpet! This Will Teach You Some Manners! A Lesson That, In My Estimation, Has Been Long Overdue!" and attack.

Beyond Cages
Round 4

With all hope nearly lost, the end seems imminent at this point. The demoness seems unfazed by your spells of protection as she continues to fondle her new pets. With only a few more words, she gets Orando to see things her way as well. Not that surprising really, considering the blatant heinous act of evil that he just committed. Is it possible that the elf was part of this all along? He slowly makes his way towards his new love.

Ozwaldus does not get very long to celebrate his first quasi successful illusion. He is absolutely appalled at the act he has just witnessed. He tries to get answers as to why, but the pornomancer continues walking away. The showman drops his illusion of the chains. The burnt body they once held hits the floor with a splat. Ozzy knows that all hope is surely lost. In a desperation move, he pulls out some darts. He launches three of them at the oncoming behemoth. Two of them miss completely and the last one sticks harmlessly into one of its tusks which doesn't quite stop his advance.

Seeing this new threat of another demon advancing on her is enough to make Angella realize that it's time to run away. She begins to think that these monsters aren't even real, that they are illusions or a figment of her imagination. She tries in her mind to disbelieve these two creatures even exist. But when she feels the hot breath on her face from the enormous monster coming towards her, it helps confirm that her beliefs may be wrong. She flees the battle with the guard fighting her. He in turn spears her in the back as she leaves. 5 dam The guard then steps up and also spears Ozwaldus, since he is next in line protecting the held Brother Tomas 2 dam

The disgusting monstrosity lumbers right up to Ozwaldus, ready to take a bite out of the skinny human. Just then, the thought-to-be-immobile Brother Tomas gets a wild smile that covers his face, indicating to anyone looking that he is only pretending to be held. He is finally ready to lend a hand. The brave old man takes one step to the side and holds his holy symbol up to the demonic beast. Even though he has no idea what is about to happen, he shouts out loudly at the demon anyway. Back to the abyss with you, fell demon!!!!!

A shrill shrieking noise fills the entire chamber as the huge demon instantly begins to transform into a black misty smoke. His amorphous shape distorts horrifically in front of you as his fat body spasms and contorts. In only seconds, the beast is completely transformed into this smoke and is then instantly sucked into one of the clear charms on the priests amulet. The charm subsequently turns from the nice clear blue color to the dark brown stain like the other charm. One clear charm remains.

As all of this is happening, the succubus understandably begins to freak out.

No! No! No fucking way! That damn wizard told us he destroyed that fucking thing!

As she starts to realize that she is now vulnerable after being in total control, she knows she must escape. She commands her pets to attack before she departs.

This isn't over priest! I will be back again and again! You will never be able to stop us!!! Get in there my pets! Get in there and kill every one of them!!!

She begins to turn into that weird flashy translucent misty color again, like when she left you at the Town Hall.

Actions!

Ugghra and Epi can move up and attack either Father Dowling, (not very sporting) Ozwaldus, or Brother Tomas. (your choice) Angella is too far behind them and the guard that was told to flee is having a hard time climbing up the rope in full plate, so he is still at the shaft opening.
