Embarrassed at his flub, then so startled by the re-emergence of Cruel Kayne he nearly soils himself, Ozwaldus scoops up the dart he dropped and decides against throwing it again, now that the melee fighters have descended. Instead, from behind her, he will attempt to push the Lady into Kayne's oncoming charge. The thought Why am I doing this?! I'm not good at this sort of thing! flits through his mind as he makes the attempt...

The Epiphany
Round 3

After probing the thoughts of the woman, Orando comes to a startling conclusion. He shouts to the others that this imposter is actually a demon and can only be hurt by magical weapons. He then tosses some powder and vocal syllables at Ugghra, changing him back into the far more likable monster known as Krual Caine.

Dowling despises his failure to protect the beautiful mayor. He jumps into action when he sees Epi attempt another swing, this time trying to tackle her to the ground. He successfully grapples her mid swing. She still hits the woman with her sword, causing some damage, but the blow is far less effective than she had hoped. (simultaneous initiative results in half damage) As if that weren't bad enough, just then Ozwaldus scoops up his dropped dart and makes a move towards the woman, also getting caught up in the fracas. The three of them tumble to the floor at the woman's feet, each struggling to regain the upper hand.

Angella punches at the armored guard in her face. Her fist makes contact with the mans armor, causing him no damage. He attempts to stab at her again but she easily dodges the spear thrust. This gives the Captain an open attack, which he takes advantage of, slashing her from the side and leaving another painful gash in the monks body. 5 dam

Ugghra tries to explain that attacking a female would be a most un-noble thing to do, but once Orando's familiar spell kicks in, he shows no qualms about injecting the evil beast with his family's heirloom. After his disgusting transformation, he jumps from the raised platform towards the woman, leaving Angella bleeding and outnumbered. As he lands, he plunges his magical blade deep into the demon woman's chest, screaming curses the whole while. The woman shows some concern when the monster Caine retracts his blade, now covered in her own precious demon blood. Her look of concern quickly reverts back to vile hatred as she continues her assault. She shouts into the face of the monster Caine. Oh, my! Arent you a surprising sight! NOW! STOP THESE FOOLS FROM ATTACKING ME! Save vs. Spells, please.

Angella keeps at the attack on the guard.

Monk attack : 1d20 = 13 : [1d6] = 6 : [1d6] = 5 : [1d100] = 92

Epi

The ranger attempts to disentangle herself from the pileup and get to the task at hand attacking the demon.

Not sure what rolls might be need to do this. Is Ozwaldus visible or not?

Here are some rolls:

d20 strength test to break out of the pile: [1d20] = 15
Attack roll assuming she does break free and can attack: [1d20+3] = 11+3 = 14
Damage roll assuming she connects (does not look promising): [1d8+4] = 8+4 = 12

Ozwaldus Maximus, Human Illusionist
Having attacked, Oz should be visible. The dummy. :)
Ozwaldus suddenly senses he is very, very out of place here on the front lines, battling a demon no less. How did he get here? What does it all mean? These and other useless questions surface momentarily, then are subsumed in sheer terror. He attempts to extricate himself from the tangle of bodies and run for the door. "I'll get help!" he cries as he flees...

Orando, enchantrix

The ancient elf weighs who among them can defeat April. He knows the ranger and orc-man possess magick weapons.

The elven sorcerer casts his second Arneson's Aggrandisement (Enlarge) spell upon Epi, hoping the increased size and strength will enable the ranger to shrug off the others and strike the demoness.

Sorry.
The STR rolls are working fine to determine who can outmuscle the other. I will also use the initiative rolls to see you gets to do what, when.

You can now see Ozwaldus as he distinctly tried to attack the woman from behind. He can get away easily enough without a roll unless Dowling (or Caine?) tries to stop him.

Thanks for being thorough with the posted rolls. :D

From Bad to Worse
Round 4

Angella remains stoic in battle, getting no help once again. She is being worn down badly by the double team and her punch is again ineffective against the guards heavy armor. She is able to fend off both of the attacks from the men, but seeing the woman's many injuries only makes the two men press in all the harder.

Krual Caine looks into the eyes of the beautiful woman once again, this time the mighty beast is unable to resist her commands. He helps Father Dowling hold Epi down on the floor so she can't attack. The man and monster combination easily take the lone female out of the fight, until......

Orando steps forward and begins another of his enhancement enchantments, but this time he tosses his powder onto the ranger, Epi. She begins to transform and grow as she wrestles around on the floor, still trying to get to her feet. Mistaking the fact that Dowling is holding his own now, the mysterious woman smiles up at the elven hermaphrodite. With nobody up for attacking her at the moment, she finds that she is beginning to tire of Orando's troublesome magicks. She tells Caine to go over and stop the mage in any way he sees fit. Krual Caine smiles from ear to ear as he moves towards Orando. I will take pleasure in it, my lovely. He bounds towards the elf with his sword at the ready. With the monster Caine suddenly gone, the now huge Epi has far less trouble getting back to her feet and holding off the much smaller Dowling.

The distracted woman barely catches sight of the now visible Ozwaldus out of the corner of her sexy eye as he makes a run for the door. She quickly spins away from the others and shouts out to him as soon as he throws open the Town Hall's main double doors.

And where do you think you are going my little punch bowl turd? Come back in here and help me and my little friends, won't you? Save vs. Spells, please.

Angella, sorely injured, realises this is the end.

She fights on, weakened as she is, unable to strike truly.

Ozwaldus gets a hitch in his step as he runs fo the door, then slows to a stop, hand on the knob. He turns to face the Lady, looking her full in the eye. "Smell you later!" he cries and sprints through the door, heading as fast as his legs can carry him to retrieve Brother Tomas and his amulet...

Orando grits his teeth as he sees Ugghra turn to face him. In a rare show of brave determination, the pornomancer takes a gamble and barks out the mystic syllables of Benai's Beneficial Beguilement (Charm Person) on Ugghra. He doesn't pray too often, but Orando appeals to Arioch that his magick may overcome the demon's influence.

Epi

Feeling the new found strength coursing through her body the ranger rises and attacks the demon as her concentration is focused elsewhere. It is now or never. Alas it would look to be never...

Attack: [1d20+3] = 10+3 = 13 Going to take a fairly sizeable bonus for her enlarged state for that to work.

Damage: Well one can dream. [1d8+4] = 6+4 = 10

From Bad to Worse
Round 5

The huge and powerful Krual Caine relishes in the idea of eliminating the she bitch elf from his disgusting existence, showing little concern that she is actually the implement of his creation. He lunges forward to try to skewer Orando with his mighty blade. The mage bravely stands fast and prays beyond a hope to Arioch that he can get a spell off in time, and he does. Unfortunately, the wicked monster just smiles at the elf coyly as he shrugs off the spell and thrusts his blade into Orando’s upper leg, leaving another nasty and bleeding gash. 7 dam How do you like that, elf whore? How many of those can you take? He growls as he readies himself for another swing.

Angella is still outnumbered but somehow manages to avoid both of the attacks from the 2 men fighting her. Again her punch proves ineffective against the heavily armored guard. She begins to realize that this might be the end for her if she can’t get some help soon.

Much like Caine, the portly priest Dowling is still under the influence from the succubus and her powerful suggestions. He does his best to stop the much larger but still hideous looking Epi, but she is having none of it. She stands up while pushing the priests head into the hard floor. She then steps on him for good measure while she swings at the demon that is still looking towards the fleeing illusionist. Even with her back turned, the gorgeous demoness is still able to sidestep Epi’s attack, but just barely this time. (AC hint: this monster makes it very easy to figure out THACO) :D Dowling just lays on the floor feeling useless, unable to help his party or the demon.

The wily Ozwaldus makes a run for it, hoping to avoid the same fate as two of his comrades. He is easily able to overcome the attempt to make him stop and even does a little head fake at the door, actually taunting the demon as he leaves. Some might consider this a bad idea, but he seems to find it rather amusing. The woman looks at him rather annoyed as he leaves the building. She lets out an audible sniffing noise, as if she is making sure her odor still matches her looks. She appears even more upset now as she quickly spins and lashes out at Epi with her claw-like fingernails. One of them swipes across the rangers face, causing far more pain than such a small injury should. 2 dam

Actions!

I will handle the actions of Ozwaldus in private until he returns. (if he ever does return)

Epi

"Since in your own words 'I pose little threat.' Call off your controlled henchmen and let's find out. May the best b**** win." Trying to keep the demon between her and the half-orc while avoiding the clerics grasp, Epi swings wildly. Great, just get her confidence up before we finish her, or me, off.

Father Dowling

Dowling will cast Silence 15' radius on himself to prevent anyone from casting spells against the lovely lady he feels he must protect. And of course, as a proper bodyguard the priest would make sure he stays close to his charge.

Orando falls back. The tide has turned it seems. The elf leaps behind the desk while intoning the secrets of Moldvay's Mantle of Stealth (Invisibility). He evades Ugghra and moves to the left side of the raised stage they are on. He has a plan if he lives to act.
