I have been struggling against this, but the New Year has brought changes which unfortunately require me to suspend my PbP gaming. It has been a pleasure gaming with you all these past years, both as player and DM.

Thanks again and best of luck in gaming and life.

Hi guys. Everyone here is in other games I'm playing in, so you should know by now that I've been having a difficult new year as well. Things are starting to ease up just enough for me to attempt getting back into my PbP gaming, but not at 100%.

Now that Grognardsw has had to drop out, there simply aren't enough players to keep the game up and running. I don't want to shelve the game outright, though, especially since the crew is very nearly to the last leg of the adventure (the short dungeon crawl).

I think I will take this time to clean up and consolidate the game's subforum, review the best way to have consistent and clear rules for player rolls, and then advertise the game again in the LFP forum with open space for you and your characters should you want to keep playing.

Once the game is back on, it will begin with a brief interlude describing the obvious outcomes of current events (the showdown with the Romulan Carlax and the chase of the SS Arcadia), and the game itself will then fast-forward to the dungeon crawl that results from the final bits of information the crew learn.

Hey Starbeard,

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. I'd like to jump back in, if that's okay. Hopefully that also helps with the lack of gamers. :)
If you have to shelve the game, I totally understand that too.

Be well,
--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hey rredmond,

Thanks. Things are quickly approaching normal again. I'd love to have you jump back in. If you all can give me a few more days to clean up my notes for this game, I will post a new recruitment thread for the remaining officer slots and we can jump ahead.

Greetings, spacemen.

I've opened the game back up for recruitment (viewtopic.php?p=297711#p297711). Hopefully we can bolster the ranks with one or two more crew members for the last phase of the adventure.

A post wrapping up the adventure so far is forthcoming: the quick and dirty of it is that Carlax is captured, and it is discovered that he had hidden explosives in the ship: with the reactor running, they will destroy the ship when detonated, but with all engine power off they are relatively harmless. The Captain orders a full stop and search, and the pirates escape into deep space.

It is now some hours later. The jury-rigged explosives have been removed, and the PCs have gotten a few hours of rest. The Captain has ordered the ship back into orbit, and our brave officers of Star Fleet are about to see that the Romulans do not get their hands on whatever is in those Slaver Ruins, once and for all.

Thanks for the synopses!
Is it just myself and Inferno left of the crew, Sean?
