The Recreation Room (OOC)
Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Thanks. Have a good week, Inferno.
Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Hi. I'm away for Easter. Back on Tuesday.
If needed, please play Nadix as an NPC to keep things moving. He'll do everything by the book, of course!
Have a good weekend, everyone.
PS: Great seatbelt gag, Dads.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Hi Starbeard,
Are there any other plasma pistols in the group?
If we were to burn the plants, what's the risk of the fire spreading?
Thanks.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Just the one lifted from Carlax.
There is a risk of starting a forest fire, (Nadix MN (14) check: [3d6] = 7), which Nadix figures to be at a cumulative 20% per plant set ablaze if left unchecked. This jungle is naturally quite humid and it doesn't appear that there has been a particularly dry season, so at best a fire could expect to spread perhaps 20 square kilometers before running its course (roughly 5x4 hexes). It's not unheard of for such a 'minor' natural fire to sweep through jungles of this type every so many years, of course.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
So what you're saying is that it wouldn't be our fault if we killed everything with fire.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
I don't judge the actions, just the rolls!

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Can I fire the plasma gun again, or does it have to recharge?

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
The gun can be fired every turn like a normal weapon, or it can be charged over a number of turns to increase damage. The basic damage rating is 3D per turn charged, at all ranges. Once the weapon begins to charge it must be fired to discharge the energy.
Energy expenditure based on how long the weapon has charged is:
0 rounds (i.e., point-and-shoot) — 2 energy
+1 round of charging — 3 energy
+2 rounds (or more) of charging — ???
etc.
The recovery rate is 1 energy/turn as normal.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Okay cool. Let me know if I screw up any of the modifiers.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Is there a way to get Ensign Rodney's stuff? His pistol and etc?

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Certainly, if you want to go back to the open area with the plants.
For the sake of moving things along, we'll assume that while Endilev is being healed he orders one of the ensigns to go back and scout out the point of contact. The ensign reports reports visual spotting of 3 plants (though there may be more); Rodney's body has been moved to the middle of the clearing, next to the pirate's body, and one of the plants is feeding on him. It appears that it is draining his fluids through the needlelike part of the flower. His phaser is left where he dropped it: 10 meters from the edge of the clearing, and 10 meters from the bodies in the center. The slaver metal is still enticingly strapped to the pirate's body.

Re: The Recreation Room (OOC)
Post is up. My apologies for the delay, I had friends visiting and overestimated my ability to post during that time.
