Apparently I missed the reboot notice.

I'll join.

Will probably just do one character, though, at least initially.

Sure thing.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. I try to play very close to the rules as written, but do have a few house rules (which are usually to the players advantage). Feel free to check them out -- House Rules -- and let me know if you have any questions.
Rusty Tincanne wrote:Being a mega dungeon, how does leveling up work? Does it happen in the dungeon itself?
There are no training rules (that I'm aware of) in LL (or BX), so all benefits of gaining a new level will be recognized as soon as the the experience is awarded -- which, according to the rules, are awarded to those that:

Historically, I have always awarded experience points as soon as a challenge has been defeated, but, this time, I am planning on just tracking all experience points earned and distributing once the character has safely returned from their expedition.

It's happened before. I think. :D

I'll predict that at least one character will reach level 2 in this game. What I'm prepared to run you guys through is not easy, and I'd be shocked if there weren't a few casualties, but it can definitely be survived.

Nice.

I responded to your question about characters in the 'OOC I' thread. You can keep using your old character, or create a new one. Your call.

We're up to 5 players, but there is probably room for 1 (or maybe 2) more.

Okay, we're up to 6 players. Unless someone really wants to join, I think I might cap the game here.

If there are more interested players, I'll be happy to open up a wait list.

I had also been thinking of playing a thief but wanted to see what the dice revealed before deciding.

That IS the old school way to come up with a character - roll the dice and go with what they tell you. Sometimes it's really easy and sometimes it's quite difficult...

The dice gods smiled on me and give my highest roll (15) to Dex. I lowered the Wis down from 12 to 10 to bump Dex up to 16.

Please make sure your rolls are linked to campaign ID 423. Thanks!

Did another one of my characters die? I can't remember, but this is the first I've seen of this so apologies if I haven't responded.

No, Canun Foddyr (a cleric) was alive and well if you'd like to revive him.

I can definitely make a spot for a player in the original game that's still interested.

STR: 12 ()
INT: 8 ()
WIS: 18 ()
DEX: 6 ()
CON: 12 ()
CHR: 11 ()
Common sense says he should be a cleric, which are always useful. But I am already playing two of them! Maybe it's time to play a woman... (Never been brave enough/thought I had the chops to pull it off.)

Dave, the rolls are all linked to the character, which is linked to the campaign. Did you want the direct url links in the character thread, or is it enough that you have an electronic trail? I can happily do either.

Regarding this array, I have your STR as 13 (STR: [1d6] = 1 + [1d8] = 8 + 4) and your DEX as 10 (DEX: [1d6] = 3 + [1d8] = 3 + 4).
(Note: There were three rolls for DEX; the last was a 6, but your first, which is the one that will count, was a 10).

I can see all rolls that are linked to the campaign, so I don't need any character creation links in your character sheet. I'll want links in action threads (e.g. when you make an attack roll), because it will be easier for me, but I would be able to track it down if a link is ever forgotten.

Well thanks a bunch for checking my math. And the rolls. I don't know why, but I never saw the other two DEX rolls. I thought I only made the one. I definitely would have noticed rolling a second 18...

Anyhow, I'm glad it worked out to New Guy's benefit. (Gotta get a better name!)

Thanks.
