Does anyone own either of these games?

I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.

Does anyone own either of these games?

Torchbearer
or
Star Wars: Edge of the Empire

I own them both but have never played either. Would be curious to know if there's any interest from folks here in playing.

I've got Torchbearer, and would be up for a game, though I haven't digested it, yet.
GM: Dwimmermount (ACKS)

Zim: 7/7 | Torgyr: 14/14 | U Tar: 3/3 | Nazares: 6/6| Emm: 9/9 |Quinn: 13/13
Ranulf: 10/10 | Solaine: 12/12 | Liam: 4/4 | X | Randolpho: 10/10 | Audi: 8/8

Seems to be a bunch of interest from folks I know on other forums about a Torchbearer PbP, though (honestly) I'm only just hearing of this game.

May be worth it to send out some feelers on my part. Either way, hope you get a game up and running!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

I've played a bit of Torchbearer and would be up for a PbP game.

I have the Beginner Box for Edge of Empire though not the full book yet. Is there a way to play without the special dice?

You can buy the dice app for your smartphone for $5.

What other forums? I did a little searching for it and didn't see anything outside of a little chatter on the Burning Wheel site.

There's a G+ TB community and some discussion on RPGnet.

Yeah, rpgnet's a good place to go for the more indie games.

Think folks are worried that they don't have the rules and such.
Either way you've got interest in both games!
That's great.

Yeah, but I like a real book. Ive looked it over, but Im not sure its for me . If you have a torchbearer PBP game, id certainly watch it. Maybe I would change my mind.

I decided to re-ignite my Stars Without Number game instead.

Neither game seemed like a great fit for PbP. I wouldn't mind playing in one to try it out but I wasn't interested in being a first time GM for them.

Necro-post! Anyone still interested in the possibility of Torchbearer? I'd be willing to GM (it's be my first time) or play, should someone else want to take the reins!
