I'm moving this to a better forum for your question. Being just a social worker my only help in this area is to ask if you have the "stay logged in" box checked at login. ToniXX or someone else more techy than me will probably come in with a better answer. :)

Silly question, but are you sure your autofill password is correct?

Also, I thought Ron said "tetchy." Heh.

This was my question as well.

I would definitely delete the auto-fill password and put in the password to be sure it is correct.

I answered from my phone in the parking lot of Drug Court - after a presentation, everyone relax! ;) Anyway, I edited that post a couple times. So in all honesty one of the iterations may have had tetchy in there, albeit unintentionally. :D

I log in with my phone a lot and have no problems. As everyone is stating, check that your autofill is correct....

I don't have an iPhone, but are you using Safari to access the site? If so, they password is probably saved in your keychain. This looks like it might be able to help: How to disable iCloud Keychain on iPhone and iPad

Edit:

Hmm, well, that may be something different? But, again, I don't use any device running iOS so maybe not?

Everything I've seen when Googling "exceeded max attempts" has been pointing to your Apple ID, and not anything site-specific.

Is this the only website you're having issues with?

Okay.

Did you try the 'How to disable iCloud Keychain on iPhone and iPad' link?

I have no issues on my android however i have not tried using an iphone. Best answer is above try the link for removing passwords from key chain or updating it there. The autofill might be trying to login and causes the issue.

Lots of trouble getting logged into my account this afternoon. I'm using chrome on windows 10. I'm not already logged in, so I click on Login and it never brings up the login screen, just bounces me back to the home page.

I haven't seen the logging in to somebody else's account, just having trouble getting in at all. The board keeps insisting on putting me into "mobile mode" as well, puts me in, I switch back out, puts me in on the next page, I switch back out, etc.

Something on the server or between you and the server is caching old pages. Badly. What you're seeing is someone else's old page that the cache is showing you instead of the page you're expecting. If you're looking at a desktop version of a page, check the time stamp in the upper right corner: if it's way off from now, you're getting a cached page.

If you're using Firefox, try hitting cmd-shift-R (on a Mac) or Ctrl-F5 or Ctrl-Shift-R (Windows, Linux) at the page after you log in. That should force a load of the current, non-cached page. The same thing is probably possible in other browsers but I'm not sure if the key combinations are the same.

On chrome use Shift-F5 and you'll usually get the correct page. I'm still trying to figure this out with the hosting provider.

I'm using Chrome and that CTR-SHIFT-R trick has been saving my tuckus.
Annoying, but it works! Thanks Zhym!
