Dice roller got an upgrade

I'm going to shut the roller down for a bit to do an upgrade. It will either work fine or everything will be lost, or something in between.

Please post in this thread if you find any bugs, or just want to give general kudos!

OK, it went easier than I thought! So far, everything seems to be working. Here is a summary of what I've changed, but it is not a complete list. There were other things that we discussed in other threads, including moving the on the fly roll and hiding DM rolls in search results. Those have been done as well.

• Weapons tab:
  • Added check box for specialization and double specialization per weapon
  • Added field for rate of fire/rate of attack
  • Added field to track how many missiles are left (bullets, arrows, bolts)
  • Remove to hit 1-10 and just keep THAC0
  • Add ‘note’ for each weapon in place of the above
• PC Basics tab
  • Added a notes line for saving throw notes (below saving throws)
  • Strip user entered commas in numeric fields (level, experience, etc)
  • Added field for encumbrance
  • Added field for movement rate (must accept single/double quotes)
  • Level, experience and next level experience should all be able to accept ‘/’ character for multi-classes PCs. The fields should be longer too. This is done.
  • Fixed hp and current hp switching fields (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2470)
• Inventory tab
  • Add section for gems, jewelry, etc
• Notes tab
  • Slight formatting changes

I forget which solution we agreed upon? Did you update it so any rolls not linked to a campaign will be hidden from search results?

I like this. I think it's nice having that option at the top and bottom of your list of characters.

I'll be sure to check these other changes out as well, and might even start to adopt it, instead of text character sheets, for my game.

If I understand correctly, that issue is associated with the off-site random number generator. i.e. it is not an issue with the Unseen Servant, but a third-party site.

Alethan is correct. And I just did a roll and it worked. Sometimes the off site random number generator goes down for just a few minutes, sometimes longer.

Zhym, please clarify (sorry I'm just responding). You say the notes tab, yet your shots show the primary tab. I think I know what you're talking about, but not 100% sure.

Sorry—those were left over from when I was having a problem getting the character sheet to render properly in Firefox. I turned off GlimmerBlocker on the Mac, reloaded the page, then turned it back on again and everything's been fine on that front since.

Those shots aren't related to my question about the side-by-side mode in the notes tab.

Nice update! Any chance of bringing back the side-by-side display of the Notes tab on the character sheet?

This has been done. I made it so it will show no more than three note 'cards' side by side. Then it will start a new row. In order for this to work well, users should use short lines on their notes entries, otherwise the character sheet will become very wide.

I've also fixed a bug where you couldn't edit an existing 'gems/jewelry' entry.
