How Do I Link To My Dice Rolls?

(This process is written for the Unseen Servant Dice Roller, though the concept is the same for most dice rollers.)

1. Make the roll for your character in the US Dice Roller, either via a macro or through the Roll on-the-fly function.
It is important to be sure you are making the roll from the "Roll the dice!" screen, and not from the screen where you create a new macro. The latter is just a test roll and will not actually save in the US Dice Roller logs; thus, it cannot be linked to the forum.

2. Once you make your roll, the results will display on a screen that says, "Die roll for <Character Name>". Below the roll is a table that displays several pieces of code you can use for linking to it. 99% of the time, you will want to copy the information in the row marked "PbP Forum code:".

3a. On a PC, highlight the code you want to use with your mouse and copy it to your clipboard.

3b. On some mobile devices, such as an iPad, you can still copy and past the code. Touch and hold a finger on the table row you want until your copy option displays. Touch "Copy" to copy the information to your clipboard. This actually copies the entire row, and not just the cell information, but don't worry about that now.

4. Paste the copied code into the desired forum post. If you are on a mobile device, you may have to remove some text from the front of the text you just pasted if the copy function copied the entire data row and not just the cell with the posting code you want.

5. If you made several rolls at once and wanted to copy them all over to a forum post later, then you just have to use the Search function to look for rolls from that character. In the Search Results, use the link for each roll to get to the results page for that roll. From there, you can copy the code and paste it where desired.
