You find four gas/smoke filtering masks at Obo Grittz’ trading silo (9) for 30 gp each.

Obo has alternates for the masks; linen soaked in the urine of a salt turtle. These sell for 6gp each, and are good for only one use.

You find various Gas/Smoke Grenades from several vendors for 20 gp each.

You can buy materials to try and make smoke grenades for 8 gp each.

  • Those with the proper skills may try once per day to make a grenade. If the roll fails, another attempt may be tried the next day. If the roll is a 1, the components are destroyed.

Jiminy spends 6 gp on ammo, and buys one gas mask. He is very confused by the mask—how do you choose which mouth to put it over? And he is sorely tempted by the urine-soaked masks, but only because they smell delicious.

Blixx

Blixx heads to Obo Griitz'

"Hey Jim" "Great Minds and all." Blixx winks at Jiminy.

Blixx will purchase 5 more masks (Salty Turtle one shot kind) and the materials to build a single Grenade (-38gp) He will spend the rest of the day trying his Tinkering skill at crafting a smoke grenade.

"Ancestors! I hope this doesn't go off in the Inn room." Blixx mumbles...

Jack just generally chills out and awaits the groups departure to return to the Zone.

Frank Rock; veteran Human

Frank helps out with the others as he can and asks Blixx; "Say amigo; if you could lend me one of those gas-masks, I'd be happy to pay you back from whatever my cut of what he make on this trip ends up being?"

Belial
Like- smoke can be bad, but I think I can deal. Belial has I think collected his new Hawaiian shirt by now, and will be knuckle-walking around town, generally goofing off until the next expedition is ready.

Bart, MH
I don't think everyone need go all the way into the hive. We should get more then one smoke grenade. ML, any bonus for second time building something with skills.
Also how many Jars can each of us carry and the cart carry back?

Den's prices:
60 gp for every jar of honey
90 gp for each larvae

It shouldn't take to many of either to recoup our cost.

Jiminy practices wearing the gas mask. Being covered in eyes and mouths, it's hard to work out. He crams a few faces-worth of orifices into the confines of the mask, but the rest of his body compulsively and unceasingly blinks and stares and chatters and spits. Finally, the shoggoth hits on the neasuea-inducing solution of turning himself inside out. By expressing most of his mouths and eyes into an internal cavity, they can go about their merry business, leaving only the masked features exposed to the world.

"Itsh unnnnnnncomfortablebibble, and I don't like ittttt, but it worksch."

Your first attempt does not succeed. You may try again tomorrow.

Yes you have the shirt.

Once one succeeds with a skill, they get a bonus the next time they use it for the same task.

Realistically, a couple of jars each and probably two dozen in the cart. I'm figuring these are quart jars, which you currently don't have. Nols Ezzan's Merchantile (3) has jars for 4gp each.

A knobby figure in the garb of a caravan guard hops after the group--from a distance at first. When he finally approaches he croaks for joy.

"Guys! Oh its really you!" Frekken cheers. "I can't believe the luck! When I wandered from the group, I was so out of it, it took me a while to feel my own froggy self again. You won't believe what happened to me..."

Frekken's bulbous eyes flicker as he reminisces. "Right when I left the group, I started feeling...well, sick isn't quite the right word, but...delirious, I guess?" He closes his eyes and breathes deeply before continuing. "Like, I could feel that the Zone was this living thing, and it was watching us--watching ME! I just had to get away, and I didn't know which way I was going!"

"I wandered back along the trail, up north to the Long Route. I was scraping by on grubs and skeeters, until a buncha guys found me. Merchants heading for Hagalton, real nice folks!" He jumps up a little excitedly. "I was still sorta hazy, so they said I could freelance for them, guarding the caravans up north into the Palakan Mountains. That's right outside piggy territory, and sometimes off to the west I could hear their hideous snorts..." He shudders.

"Yeah, but my head did eventually start to clear, and I wondered what ever happened to you guys! Ever since I came into town I've been hearing rumors of the wanderers who made it back from the Gam'A Zone." He gestures widely to the group. "And here you are!"

Blixx

Tinker [1d20+1] = 15+1 = 16

Blixx is diligently working on the project, "Maybe like this, no wait this time if I put this here...." "I should write this down, maybe..."

Hagalton, Day 45, Morning

Blixx is successful in making a smoke bomb. Add +1 to the roll the next time you try to make a smoke bomb.

Frekken needs to buy supplies for your 18 1/2 day journey into and back from the Gam'A Zone. 9gp, 2sp, 5 cp worth.

You still are undecided how many jars to purchase for the Gam'A Bee honey you plan to collect.

Actions?

Blixx

Advancing Funds for anyone else, who needs to access it: group funds stand at 8gp, 5sp & 6cp after Frekken purchases supplies and an additional "one shot mask" for Frekken :) . So how much will the jars cost each?

Blixx also has 22gp squirreled away, he will purchase materials for 2 more grenades to make (-16gp)

Tinker [1d20+2] = 16+2 = 18

Tinker [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21

Blixx quietly chuckles
