The Gam'A Zone, Day 31, Night

Combat, Round 9

Battle Map:

Scavenger Initiative:
T.S. initiative: [1d10] = 3, [1d10] = 5, [1d10] = 10, [1d10] = 7

[12] Luke spits and rakes Thorax #3 [AC14] with both claws, removing chunks of chitin for 4 points of damage. The insect oozes fluid out of the holes and slumps over dead!

[10] Thorax #9 (Javelins) sends another javelin into Oor-zak for a paltry 1 point of damage.

Thorax, Javelin = [1d20+6] = 19+6 = 25, [1d6] = 1 dmg.

[7] Thorax #10 (Javelins) targets Belial [AC12], but misses the javelin strike.

Thorax, Javelin = [1d20+6] = 3+6 = 9, [1d6] = 2 dmg.

[6] Jack attempts to fire a bolt into Thorax #1, but misloads the missile and it shoots wide.

[3] Thorax #1 (Whip), losing its guards, withdraws along the base of the hill.

[2] Bruze switches his attention to Thorax #1 [AC15], intercepting the retreating insect and raking it for an impressive 11 points of damage! The bug screeches in pain, but continues to move.

[2] Belial removes the dead Thorax from his spear and then takes flight to attack one of the javelin throwers (AC14), but cannot make a successful attack.

[2] Bart advances to strike Thorax #1 [AC15], chopping into the scavenger for 5 points of damage and rending the scavenger dead!

[0] Blixx is stunned, but aware of his surroundings. He prepares a vampiric drain focus as a last-minute defense.

[0] Oor-zak uses his telekinesis to drag a Thorax body over and cover himself with the insect corpse. (+4 to AC) He senses that the stun wearing off.

[0] Frank remains stunned and prone, but feels the effects waning.

End of Round 9

Bruze = 20 hp
Belail = 27 hp
Jack = 46 hp
Frank = 62 hp (Stunned; may recover next round)
Bart = 21 hp
Blixx = 18 hp (Stunned)
Luke = 41 hp
Oor-zak = 45 hp (Stunned; may recover next round)

All of the insects in melee have been killed.

Thorax #9 & 10 have not been hit.

On leathery wings, Bruze soars low to the injured form of Blixx. There, the pious acolyte of shadows administers first aid, trying to rouse his stunned companion back to consciousness.

Jack reloads his crossbow and fires at the one with the whip.
Initiative [1d10+1] = 5+1 = 6 Heavy Crossbow [1d20+2] = 11+2 = 13 to hit [1d8] = 6 dmg

Bart, MH

Bart gathers up the whip and heads towards the last two bugman with his shield ready.
He clicks loudly to see if any other are hidden.

Not sure if I can attack this turn, If Bart can take a clear shot with his crossbow at #6 without hitting monkeyman, I'll roll for that.

You movement is 40ft. The map doesn't show the vertical distances, so you can't make the bugs on the hill in round 10. You will reach them in round 11.

If you get the initiative, you may attack #9 or 10. Both are within range of your crossbow.

With no foe in melee range, Cthul Hand Luke scoops up a bug's javelin and hurls it at a remaining bug (#9).

- Luke Initiative [1d10+3] = 8+3 = 11
- Javelin [1d20+3] = 15+3 = 18, damage [1d6] = 3

[11] Luke picks up a loose javelin, advances to the base of the hill and throws the missile uphill at Thorax #9 [AC14], sticking it for 3 points of damage.

[10] Bart shoots his light crossbow at the same Thorax #9 [AC14], but misses his chance to hit the bug.

[9] Belial slashes at Thorax #10, trying to block the upper end of the trail. He cannot connect with the battle spear.

[6] Thorax #9 breaks for the top of the hill, running past Belial.

---

[6] Jack fires at Thorax #9 [AC14] and just misses the scavenger scum.

[5] Bruze is successful with his first aid on Blixx.

Please roll 2d3 for the amount healed.

[3] Thorax #10 joins his companion and breaks for the top of the hill.

[0] Oor-zak recovers from the stun attack.

[0] Frank recovers from the stun attack.

...the nocturnal disciple of shadows silently soars the long way south around the mound to fly upon behind the surviving roach men and surprise them.


If he can take full movement and still attack, then he will:
Bruze: Initiative: [1d10+1] = 5+1 = 6
Bruze: Claws: To Hit: [1d20+2] = 11+2 = 13, Damage: [1d10+2] = 9+2 = 11
If he can't attack this round, he'll stay hidden behind them, within range of striking them next round. Thanks.

If there is another loose javelin, Luke will grab it and hurl at the nearest retreating bug. If there is no javelin, he'll pick up and throw a rock.

Luke Initiative [1d10+3] = 3+3 = 6
Javelin or rock [1d20+3] = 16+3 = 19, damage [1d6] = 2 or [1d3] = 3

Suddenly in control of his muscles once again, Oor-Zak heaves the dead insectoids body to the side and quickly stands. Picking one of his spears from the ground, he eyes the remaining fleeing scavengers, judging if they are within throwing distance.

Oor-zak will chuck his spear if it looks like they are within striking distance., otherwise he'll just gather his weapons and nurse his wounds.

Frank Rock; veteran Human


Frank staggers to his feet with a curse....angry as hell about being shocked into paralysis in the middle of a fight and he decides that these bastard bugs warrant another of his precious bullets....

Loading his Bolt-action rifle, he brings his rifle up to his shoulder, carefully sights down the barrel for a long moment at one of the remaining Thorax scavengers (#9), takes a deep breath and then when he lets it out, he'll squeeze the trigger....



OOC: Spend a round aiming (+2 bonus to hit, I think?) and then fire......

Initiative roll: 1d10 = 5
Attack roll: 1d20 = 10 (+2 = 12)
Not sure if that hits, but if it does; damage: 1d12 = 10

[7] Bart shoots his light crossbow at the retreating scavengers [AC14], but misses his shot.

[6] Bruze soars and sweeps south in an attempt to get behind the scavengers. He sees one reach the top of the mound, which has a large pile of dirt from a recent excavation. The second roachman isn't far behind.

You may reach and attack them next round.

[6] Luke can't find a javelin nearby, so he grabs a rock and circles the hill trying to get a shot at the retreating Thorax. He sees one on the trail near the top of the mound, but cannot throw the distance.

[6] Thorax #9 reaches the top of the hill.

[5] Frank takes aim and tries to get a Thorax in his sights, but they have moved around to the back side of the hill.

[4] Jack moves to locate Thorax #9, but the insect has moved out of range. He pulls the trigger against Thorax #10 [AC14] just as Belial engages the roach inflicting 1 point of damage.

[4] Belial pursues the insectoids and thrusts into Thorax #10 [AC14] for 7 points of damage!

[4] Thorax #10 joins his companion and breaks for the top of the hill.

[3] Blixx recovers and tends to his wounds.

[0] Oor-zak gathers his weapons and nurses his wounds.
