CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
...
You estimate 4-6 days before you reach the Long Route’s closest approach to the Gam’A Zone. The original planned 7-day excursion, 3 ½ in / 3 ½ out, has been supplemented by recovered provisions from the pigmonn raiding party. You now have enough provisions for a 13-day excursion, 6 ½ in / 6 ½ out.
Your new beasts of burden have enough water for 20 days. They presumably eat the sparse foliage common in the wilderness, so food is readily available.
If your wounded ride in the cart, they will heal at the normal complete rest rate of 1-3 hp per day. They may not exert themselves or healing will not occur. The cart may hold 3 people.

Blix
"This is a troubling situation. He is our prisoner and we are responsible for him now. If we let him go there is a danger to us. If we execute him, word may spread and no one will ever surrender to us ever again and they will fight twice as hard when they encounter us." "We could take him along and deposit him at the first settlement we encounter, for justice." "We should probably vote"

Frank Rock; veteran human
Frank shrugs and offers up his suggestion; "I say tie his hands up, blind-fold him; lead him off somewhere nearby, spin him around then knock him out and by the time he comes too and gets his hands and eyes free; we're long gone. If the predators in the area get him before then; well....that's his fate and it's certainly no worse than he's probably done to many others; sentient beings or animals both. That's my 2 cents anyway" he concluded with an archaic phrase he learned from the comics he read so long ago....

Bruze Whane, mutant bat:
The young acolyte of Bhatt Mhann said with surprising coldness, "Kill it. It can't be rehabilitated. It is what it is. Would you hesitate if it were a rabid dog? Because it is one.
"And Blix, once it's dead, there'll be no one to spread the word about how we treat our captives."

Frekken shakes his head. "Ooh, I guess we'll have no choice. Give me fair warning when you do it, because I'm going to go over there," he says, pointing a few dozen feet away, then crosses his arms.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Oor-zak follows the arguments for several minues before shaking his head and, with a loud snort, quickly dispatches the captive pigmonn with his axe. "Waste too much time on pigmonn problem. Now no problem. We go now." He wipes his axe off on the pigmonn's cloths and ambles over to the cart and climbs in, ready to have a rest and heal.
I assumed I could dispatch a tied and helpless captive without a to hit roll and damage. Let me know if i do need to roll

Bart, MH
Bart had fallen asleep standing, holding the Boars reins. When he feels the beast stirs, he awakes and sees Oor-zak enter the cart.
"Time to go?", He waits for Bruze to get in the cart and leads the boar and cart down the road... whistling.

Great character play, gents!
The Long Route, Day 16
Oor-zak decisively decapitates the bound pigmonn prisoner. Those near are sprayed with ork blood as the body slumps over on its side. Blixx appears to wince from the action of execution.
Your group gathers up and heads east, leaving the battlefield to whatever scavengers happen upon the scene.
The Long Route, Day 17-24
Beginning the night of day 17, you start to see dazzling lights in the southern sky. Great sheets appear to fall from high in the night sky and sink into the ground. At first, they are far away, but on the night of the 20th they appeared at the closest distance from the Long Route, approximately 5 miles (You backtracked on day 22 when the lights began to move away from the Route).
The presumed shortest distance into the Gam’A Zone lies before you. The sheets of light appear to be an intermittent energy curtain that forms a border zone around the Gam’A Zone. You are not sure if the light curtain falls during the day, because you cannot see anything from your current position.
What do you do?
Bruze rode in the cart for 8 days. His current Hit Points are 33.

Oor-Zak's fur bristles with unease as he studies the glowing lights. His tenticles writher in agitation as visions of his last run in with radiation flood his memories.

Blixx
Blixx knows life in the Gam'A Zone is brutal and short and his noble ideals are now a casualty of necessity. "Oh well time to move on..." "Oh look pretty lights! So green and hinting toward UV and lavender." Blixx is mesmerized by the lights. "Hmmm perhaps we should travel at night co we can see more of these lights, The like of which, I have never seen so close before."
