The Gam'A Zone, Day 30, Late Afternoon

The cautious acolyte and the mothman fly over the tower and survey the canyon. The tower is open at the top, but the interior is concealed by shadow. A ring with bolt holes trims the top edge of the tower, large enough to hold an enclosure the size of what you explored in the first hill.

The canyon is bleak and barren, save for rocks and boulders strewn about. The canyon opens into a large valley to the south. Through the spyglass, the floor of the canyon appears to have a red and yellow hue and what appears to be foliage of some type.

Bruze Whane, mutant bat:

Rather than investigating further, the twice-shy mutant flaps back down to the others and reports what Blixx and he saw.

"Tower look empty. But chance not empty. Oor-Zak say only way know is to go look. But maybe wait for all wounds better."

I say we go look but should wait at least until Belail can see

The Gam'A Zone, Day 30, Early Evening

It takes almost two hours for Belial to recover his sight. His eyes are still tender to dust and sun, but he can see again.

The sun begins its descent below the horizon, marking early evening.

Belial

Dudes, we are rapidly losing the sun. I'll go with the flow, naturally, but if it was just me, I'd wait until daylight. Imagine if we'd run into that heinous land-squid in the dark. It would have been most uncool for all of us, I think.

Blixx

"Belial, what's that?" Bixx suddenly looks up toward the tower. His feathery antenna sway gently. "There is a deep droning, buzz coming from that ancient place." Blixx moves toward the group. "Sorry for disturbing their rest, but we must warn everyone." "Some new danger is upon us?" Blixx gently wakes the others and warns them to be quiet and get ready for trouble.

"Buzz?" says Luke, thinking of giant bugs.

Bruze Whane, mutant bat:

Bruze agrees. He'll serve as guard against the night while the others pack their things, intermittently probing the darkness with his echolocation.

Dude, that is most bogus! I had a nice, soft patch of sand all picked out.

Belial pitches in on the packing and breaking down, likewise keeping alert to anything that may be coming.

Frank Rock; veteran Human

Frank opens his mouth and says; "Thanks fellas; I'll be sure to keep watch at first light and let you guys get some rest"; to the night-watchmen and he then proceeds to find a somewhat-comfortable place to bed down for the night. At first light, he'll keep his word; rising up and keeping watch while Blixx, Bhruze and Belial get some rest....
