OOC IV
Re: OOC IV
Revenge for making everybody in game hungry.... Feel better.
Re: OOC IV
I had that goop a while back. Should be over in 24 hrs, but that time is miserable.

Not to TMI you all, but it turns out it is the actual flu. It brings many gifts after initial stomach issues. It may be another day or two. Hope you all don't get this strain...it sticks around for 5-6 days.
Re: OOC IV
I am once again thankful for Internet-based gaming, whether real time or not, but I do hope you recover quickly! Blah.
Re: OOC IV
What's Arnulf's spell list, again?

Arnulf has:
Magic Missile
Light
Invisibility (x2)

Re: OOC IV
I'm thinking Magic Missile at one of the casters.
Re: OOC IV
That seems like a fine plan.

Re: OOC IV
If I heard nothing from the players, I was going to NPC him to do just that. He gets two, so I figured he would direct them at separate targets to disrupt casting. Let me know if you want him to send them both at a single target.
Re: OOC IV
Agreed. They don't call him "Maximum Mayhem" for nothing. They don't even call him "Maximum Mayhem" at all, but, maybe they should.
Re: OOC IV
Oh dear.CAI4 wrote:"You bet I will" beams Chet. He waits for the first volley of arrows to fly, then attacks the spellcaster directly ahead of him.
Beat the crap out of 'em init [1d6] = 4 hit [1d20] = 1 crit [1d100] = 1 damage [1d6] = 6
Well, that's a fumble by any rule...
Fumble roll [1d100] = 80
Hit self, double damage...
Extra damage roll [1d6] = 6
Does your son have a brother? Or has he not encountered the joy that is, "Why are you hitting yourself?"

Re: OOC IV
No, he doesn't. But his dad has said that to him before!
This may be a situation where I adjudicate and say that double damage seems unreasonable. But I'm not sure if it's dad bias or not. I'll have to think this one over...

Re: OOC IV
I don't know about dad bias, but you should at least roll for the chance that the spell caster Chet tried to attack loses his concentration at seeing a monk repeatedly punching himself.
Re: OOC IV
Hey everyone. I managed to track down Zorroroaster and drop him an e-mail. He's still alive, just swamped. He says, "Work just completely took over my life for a while and to be honest I'm not sure when or if I'll make it back to US." He also wanted me to tell everyone, "Apologies that I haven't managed to return to the fold."
"IF?"
"IF?"

Re: OOC IV
Yeah, that's a bummer. Please wish him well from me if you talk to him again.
Re: OOC IV
With that in mind, we might as well talk about the magic user situation. Arnulf's mute automaton is with us for now, but we lose him (I assume) when (or if) we get out of the prison and back to the fort. Adventuring without an MU isn't a great idea, and most of our last batch of newbies seems to have dwindled. Any ideas what we should do?
