OOC IV
Re: OOC IV
Guys, I don't know what everyone has or what funds they have. But if we don't have the basics, now is a good time. Zo has no "dungeoneering" supplies at all.

Hi all we have visitors in town. I may not be able to update this weeend, but will try to.
Re: OOC IV
We'll be here!

Guys, I don't have anything to throw, not even a torch. If no one else wants to throw anything I'll cut a branch from one of the trees.

Re: OOC IV
Thanks for bringing this up - you should feel free to if you think I missed something. But in this case, no other orcs stepped up to take the place of the orc slain in the last round. So Dandelion and Angus only had one in front of them.onlyme wrote:just picking nits here, but they didnt retreat until this round. Did they win initiative? seems if we did, Dandelion would have gotten both of her attacks in. One normal, and one as they started to flee?AleBelly wrote:Upon orders to retreat, the orcs fall back, but not before Dandelion skewers yet another orc to death with her trident.
Since nobody mentioned chasing the orcs, I'll have the party follow Angus' desire to not turn the corner and open themselves to missile fire.
The orc voices fade, clearly having retreated past the mushroom chamber.
Dandelion had two attacks that round. First attack goes before everything else and second after everything else (segments 1 and 10). Dandelion killed O5 first, then the others acted. Since they weren't in melee, they could retreat at full speed without an attack of opportunity. But you're right, if there was another in front of them, she would have had an additional attack at +4 (if they were fleeing) or would have gotten a second attack in (if it was a fighting retreat, which happens at a max of 10' per round).
As a DM I can't assume you're going to pursue (in case the enemy is laying a trap), which is why I gave the clue that they were retreating.
I also didn't automatically apply the attack to the held orc (O3) since I wasn't sure of your plans for it.

Re: OOC IV
I apologize for lack of posting. I'm swamped by work right now and probably will be through at least Thursday. Please NPC Angus as needed.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No worries! You have to take care of rl before you can worry about games.

Re: OOC IV
See, this is why MUs should never get familiars. They die way too easily.
Re: OOC IV
Yeah, after making this character and realizing how fragile they were, i insisted in my other game that i not be made to have one although the DM is being rather insistent.

Re: OOC IV
Wow. I've never heard of a DM insisting that a PC have a familiar.
Re: OOC IV
Insisting in hindsight is too strong a word, but there is certainly a strong push.

Re: OOC IV
Hi all,
Apologies for the delay. Work exploded on me this week, and I'm getting ready for our annual long (well, 2 week) family vacation. I will be taking my laptop and expect to be able to update a bit, but it depends on whether I'll be able to find an adapter where I'm staying. I hope this doesn't go on a two week hiatus, but that is the worst case scenario...
