OOC IV
Re: OOC IV
Gotta love this game!He meditates deeply, attempting to think and speak as a snail. He then steps just inside the doorway and greets the giant gastropod.

Hah! That's what I get for not re-reading the whole thread since AleBelly's last post.Storm11 wrote:Tempus stands with his mouth open looking incredulously at the ranger and then the others. He shakes his dreadlocked head in exasperation. "I just said that," he mutters peevishly to no one and wanders to the other doorway.
Re: OOC IV
I'll be honest: I'm kind of tired of Azurpenia's prison. How about we go find some orcs or ogres to fight or something?

I didn't say we'd never want to go back.

Re: OOC IV
I forgot to put "DM rolls dice." I'll make that edit. There is a randomly determined outcome if you don't bring Lady Crucem back what she asks for. It's likely the prison will factor into the game still. Stay tuned.

Re: OOC IV
Yeah, it was. It's the only outside material (slightly modified by me) I have used for this game so far, and I wanted there to be a place where you all could go if you wanted something a little more gonzo. I'm certainly not that creative.
Re: OOC IV
That was a module? Huh. I thought you were just that gonzo.
If we're done with the prison (venturing into it, anyway), mind telling us where you got it from?

Re: OOC IV
I'm game either way, but agree that things seemed to move a little more quickly in the less gonzo world. And I think I preferred the outside world a bit.
Re: OOC IV
Dandelion is willing to do whatever. I would agree that plot lines that are overly cerebral may be more difficult with larger slower pbp games.
Dandelion - female half-orc beautyqueen in training (The Lone City in the Wildlands) OSRIC
Halfpint - female halfling badgirl wannabe (Lab Lord- The North Marches) LL
Mark'd - charismatic human fighter (Lab Lord- The North Marches) LL

Re: OOC IV
I had a DM on here—I can't remember who, now—who liked to do rolls so that higher was always better. So a thief who had a 25% chance of finding traps would succeed on a 76-100, that sort of thing.AleBelly wrote:

Re: OOC IV
Hi all,
The next post will be pretty long, so it's taking me awhile to put it together.
In the meantime, I've been thinking about how to move forward. The loss of Arnulf could hit the party pretty hard, so I'm strongly considering offering a 4th level magic-user to a proven dependable player on this board. If won't be Arnulf per se, but very Arnulf-like (stepping into Zorro's shoes would be a very difficult task). But first I would give this option to anyone in the game already - if you would like to put your current character on ice and play a 4th-level MU, you get dibs. Please let me know.

Re: OOC IV
I dunno whether Osric or ad&d needs any particular character. If we do find we need one we can always try and find a henchmen. We have the gnome illusionist/thief so we aren't completely bereft of arcane magic. In my face to face group we haven't had an actual magic-user in the party for over three years, a few illusionists have shown up however.
Greys Campaign.
Re: OOC IV
Oh, hell yes we need an MU. A gnome illusionist doesn't quite fill the same need.
I'm in favor of offering Arnulf to a "proven dependable player."
