Game Resources - Maps, etc.

#1 Post by AleBelly »

Please post your wilderness maps here. Over time, I'll add dungeon/floor plans that I've shown the group. Please keep this thread free of discussion so items of interest are easy to find. I'll delete posts that do not contain group resources.

Edit: the map is in Orcish, but since almost everyone speaks it we'll assume they translate for others.

For someone able to actually draw maps, these are the exploration notes needed to do so:
Mapping Guide:
Alleborg is our center point. It is six miles in all directions to the Perimeter.

CHAPTER 2:
Eduard's map: viewtopic.php?f=176&t=4667#p200583
Arlandria's map: viewtopic.php?f=176&t=4667#p200596

CHAPTER 3: AGAINST THE SLAVERS
South from city to old gate at perimeter:
6 miles south along the old road, past the gate, to the T junction.

7.5 miles walked WEST, (6 miles straight line) to our first campsite where skeletons were defeated.

6.6 miles west, with a turn to the northwest along it, we reach SAMBORD FORT, which is 1/4 mile south of the road.

2 miles west, the trail meets a major road. The road goes South and West. We walked west towards the Orc City. Mile markers are along the road.

6.5 miles west along the major road, we camped.

.1 miles after the camp the road bent north.

8 miles north, we rounded a slight bend with a pond and found the farm where all prisoners were rescued. (Outskirt of orc city)

CHAPTER 4: THE CITY OF ORCS
West from the city: 4 miles outside of the perimeter, one mile south of the road, found the TOWER.

CHAPTER 5 & 6: THE GOBLIN HOLE

Direction of Travel: Tracks followed an 85 degree bearing; 7.5 miles traveled today; 1.6 mph traveled through forest, 2.4 mph through Safe Zone
(Can't interpret that in relation to the other items, personally.)

A rough overland map, based on the collated notes from Marullus and the various maps we have.

I tried paying some attention to scale, and included the points of interest that we've either explored so far or have expressed interest in. Let me know what else to include and I'll try and fit it in.

Jorbin's letter to Alleborg:
Leaders of Alleborg,

Please excuse the lack of formality accompanying this missive. In fact, the lack of decorum and my motivation for writing are branches from the same tree.

Despite the hostile circumstances under which your scouts and my people met, I was heartened to learn of your newfound interest of the world outside your domain. Much has changed in two score years, little of it for the better.
Your scouts seem very effective and capable. They rescued a number of my people from the slave pens of the orcs, for which we are immeasurably grateful. Alas, every action has a consequence. And your peoples’ act was not spared this immutable law of nature.

The rout of their patrol and loss of their slaves has unleashed a fury within these damnable orcs I have never before witnessed. Their patrols have doubled in size, and it is no longer safe for my hunters to venture out to ply their craft. We have lost several parties – their heads savagely left upon our doorstep.

You may be tempted to believe our troubles are not your concern. But, humbly, I would suggest that if this is indeed your view, you are mistaken. The orc warrior numbers are swelling, their ranks being filled by young half-orcs. Strod – a city of humans – fell many years ago. It takes not a sage to connect the two events. We fear a full assault upon our fort is imminent. And if we fall, you will be next in their crimson-blighted sights.

I propose an alliance to meet this threat together – the objectives of which are best debated in person. Please send word with my messenger if you would do us the honor of engaging upon this topic.

Yours in peace,
Jobin Herke
Chief of the Sambords

He also lays out a coin-making spot, orc barracks (with at least three dozen orcs), a place of worship, a very scary 'no go' place that he doesn't know the secrets of. There are a couple of rooms with guarded treasure and a slave room near some stairs heading further down. This section is not very clear to him in his current state . . .
