I doubt that very seriously...although the private forums do help inflate the numbers. Now that Vaul has those, I expect it to break 10,000 next week!

Looking over the character advancement tables in OSRIC, it's clear that they were structured the way they are to avoid copyright infringement against 1e AD&D. It doesn't make any sense to me that a fighter needs 1900 for level 1 then 4250 for level 2. So, for characters that haven't entered training I'll use the 1e advancement tables. This won't affect those that have already leveled, but will do so in the future. I'll add this to house rules.

I saw something earlier that we'd be using 1e experience charts rather than the OSRIC ones. Did those ever get posted?

I'm close(r) to 2nd, at least. And it only took getting a friend killed to do it!

Looks like we'll be getting parties assembled. Some of you may have some interesting conversations with your mentor during training, but we can play that out concurrently with the next adventure. I'll fast forward everyone to the night of the 1st of the year in Guffy's tavern.

All standard rations will be spoiled/consumed by that point, so make sure you do some shopping!

Slaying the orcs, war dogs and skeletons (remember those?)
Value of the orc weapons (carried back by the Sambords)
108 ep from orcs
Freeing slaves
1,000 gp reward
Spellbook
Potion (of unknown function)

xp not yet earned for the silver box

Also, I will be on vacation through Saturday, May 23. I may be able to post once a day, but will be in the mountains and/or at breweries and wineries so I wouldn't count on a post every day.
