Thanks, it's been a fun exploration of Lovecraftian themes. As clues may imply, things are oozing toward a climax. Thanks all for sticking with it.

Sorry I haven't posted this week. Work got a little crazy. Please NPC Reginald if I'm slowing things down!

There has been a resurgence of interest in pulps, with reproductions of many titles. They are expensive. I think they charge so much because it's still cheaper than paying the hundreds for originals.

Marius is getting serious.

Happy Christmas everyone. I'll have spotty connection until the new year.

I have been struggling against this, but the New Year has brought changes which unfortunately require me to suspend my PbP gaming. It has been a pleasure gaming with you all these past years,
both as DM and player.

CoC has been among my most creatively satisfying games as game master. You all role-played well. As I occasionally read back from the beginning I am always impressed at the deep level of narrative and role play.

I'm sure with the clues folks know the general pattern of where things were headed, if not the twists and final surprises. Like in many a Lovecraft story, some things are unknowable. Perhaps I'll pick it up again someday.

Thanks again for playing and best of luck in gaming and life.

I didn't die or go insane, I WIN!!!!

Thanks for the game Grognardsw. I've really enjoyed my time here. You have elevated PbP here at the Unseen Servant. I'll miss playing along side you and playing in your game.

I will miss the game as well, Grog. I agree 1000% with everything DadsAngry said above. This game was an absolute blast! Thank you for running it for us.

This was my first CoC game, and I'm happy to say that my character didn't go insane or die! Although he very nearly did both.... :o

Now that the game is shutting down, is there any info from behind the GM screen that you can divulge? What we got right, what we missed, etc??

I wish you all the best in the new year and beyond. Thanks again for a great game!

Thanks for the wonderful game, Grognardsw. You really brought CoC alive in a way I hadn't experienced before. Thanks to TWSNB, I don't think I will ever approach PbP campaigns the same way again. Best of luck to you.

That which is not dead can eternally lie, yet with strange eons, even this game may be revived.

Hi All, I have resisted the Call for some two years now, but a sliver of free time now permits the continuation of That Which Should Not Be. I anticipate a slow post game. It will be good to be back even in this limited fashion. Perhaps the future will allow more play in other games.

As I was reading over this novel of a game, I realized that Marius’ studies of the Pnakotic Manuscripts and its revelations would bear heavily on the hunter’s mental equilibrium. Lose 1d4 San.

Hiya folks! I think I'd like to jump back in with Marius after all, but I'm busy with real life right now and it might take me 1-2 weeks to get caught up on the game enough to remember what's going on. Is that alright?

Sure thing Starbeard, it will be good to have you back. I'll NPC him in the meantime. When you have a chance, roll 1d4 for Marius' San. loss.
