A couple of
Notes:

1. The upper walls are only a low set of crenellations, which can't support a roof and isn't built to be completed. If you want to add a third floor, especially, you'd need to remove what's there and build the second story walls from scratch.

2. The ground floor door is already iron with locks, but the locks have been forced and need to be replaced (25gp, materials only).

Okay...

294.7 + 75 for extra wall cost = 369.7 * .8 discount = 295.76 +25 to fix the door = 320.76 base cost.

If you can afford more, I would add windows.

I am assuming that a trap door to the new roof and putting low crenelations back on is not a cost?

No, basic connections between floors are not a cost and you can repurpose the crenellations you remove to add them to the top. It won't be fancy but it will serve.

Depending what the compensation is for reclaiming the tower, if say we can afford that and windows.

Marullus, I forgot that perthrin is almost dead. He'll need to rest a day or two to be able to adventure. Maybe can do it at the tower while we talk details on site?

Leaving and returning for the cave-in victims was an OOC contrivance - I don't think Keehnelf is penalizing us for the logistics in making it happen. We can leave whenever the group is able unless he says otherwise... It is best to have multiple players/PCs.

That's correct: the cave-in victims are in stasis until the point at which it becomes clear that folks are prioritizing other tasks in a way that jeopardizes them--for routine stuff like getting a group on the road for it there's no penalty.

Happy Monday!

So, we're waiting on KingofCowards/Kennit for the final word?

320.76 base cost.
If you have two shuttered windows on each floor that is 20gp x .8 = 16gp.
If you want one glazed window on each floor instead that is 60gp x .8 = 48gp.
We can add a stable/outbuilding for 45gp x.8 = 36gp (or 70gp x.8 = 56gp if it locks).

We set out on June 3rd with Perethrin rested, Varas in tow to provide the inspection, and the Dwarves loaded with building supplies. (I assume they'll bring the supplies and construct first, then move their own goods in second once rooms are complete?)

The adventuring party shows them to the tower, then once they start work, we continue on to the Mountain?

This works for me. Figures were depending on Perthrin splitting costs. If that is agreeable, I am all set to move forward.

On a seperate note, I will be back home tomorrow and I can properly deal with all of this. Xp and treasure have not been accounted for on Kennit's sheet.

Keehnelf: Does paying for the construction count as a tribute to himself? And if we name the tower after Rhodri, does that count as a Memorial?

No and no. You could build a statue of him, or put up a plaque there, or something similar to be a memorial or tribute, but you don't get XP for money spent providing yourself a material advantage. It has to be "burned", in a mechanical sense.

Okay! You've paid the full 424.76.

You get:
  • A three story stone tower with a flat, wood, crenelated roof.
  • One glazed window on the second floor and one on the third floor (I assume south-facing for the most light).
  • A fixed, lockable, iron door on the tower.
  • A table and four chairs on the first floor.
  • Five beds on the second floor.
  • A 10x10 stone outbuilding (stable/barn) with flat wood roof and a lockable wood door.
  • Use of the existing excavated basement level for storage.
Rostoff the Seneschal and a dwarf guardsman remains with seven civilians, guarded by Kirren and Mormoth as full-time guards (for 40gp/month total). One dwarf guardsman comes with us as a henchman for a half-share of treasure and experience.

Our party therefore has two dwarf PCs, a Halfling, a wizard, and one dwarf henchmen. (5 people, dividing treasure/xp 4.5 ways.) Is everyone okay with that?

That leaves nine dwarves at the tower. Construction estimate is 30 days for every 200gp of stone. Using that as a guideline, we say (424 / 200 * 60) / (9+1) = 12.72. So, the dwarves finish all construction in thirteen days (with tents/temp housing), then can move in and plant crops. Does that all work for them, Keehnelf?

Given that it's already June, they should at least split their labor between building and sowing so they don't miss the entire season for a good chunk of their seed stock.

Okay, cool. So they'll finish construction in a month, are content to make-do until then (they have the ground floor and basement to stay in, and can finish the outbuilding in 2-3 days for temporary use, then spend the rest of the time on the proper tower construction), but will get crops in, too.

Lets get the Expedition going. :)
