Against the Giant
Round 2

The behemoth on the balcony stands up to his full 20 foot height, five times the size of most of the party. Ha yells and launches another rock at Wyntar. This time it narrowly misses the mage, flying just slightly over his head and crashing into the wall behind him.

Halo sics his magic panthers on the charging ogre just as Trotter bounds down the steps to attack the beast. All three do damage, but surprisingly are not quite able to bring the monster down yet. The ogre swings its club at Edina and connects hard into the cats side, sending her sprawling across the floor a few feet away.

The tiny paladin and the even tinier thief decide that it is time to bring this fight to the possessed cloud giant. Halo activates his magic boots and starts to levitate up to the balcony. Seeing no other way up, Blodget begins scaling the fairly smooth walls of the cloud castle. The advance will take some time.

Mira, still unseen, rushes down the steps to the floor, positioning herself under the balcony and away from the rain of dangerous boulders. She begins casting another of her mysterious illusions. Xano stays on the steps and looks up at the cloud giant closely. She doesn't notice any rings or other jewelry on him.

The white wizard has had enough of this possessed giant pelting him with powerful projectiles. He calls out the evil black snow demon by name which results in an angry and slightly confused expression from the giant. He pulls out a tiny glass rod and a bit of fur from his components pouch. He points a finger at the behemoth and quotes magical phrases as the hair begins to stand up on his outstretched arm. Instantly a bright bolt of sizzling lightning shoots from his hand and hits the giant square in his chest, sending even his massive frame sprawling backwards into the wall. RAAAAAHHHHHGGG!!!!! He roars with anger as his clothing and flesh burn away.

Actions!

At 20' per round, Halo will reach the balcony at the beginning of round 5. At 6' per round on a smooth surface, Blodget will reach it at the end of round 9.

Wyntar 22/40
Mira 30/32
Morgi 19/49
Blodget 49/56
Halo 28/49
Trotter 20/43
Xano 35/39

Blodget, halfling thief:

Trembling in the flash of the lightning bolt, and the cracking roar of its thunder, Blodget, clinging to the wall, whispers to Halo, "Psst! Mister Master Halo Sir, sir! Begging your pardon, sir, but perhaps you'd be willing to give me a lift to the balcony! If it isn't any bother! I'd be much obliged if you would, sir!"

When Mira's 'Image spell is complete, she directs it upward, toward the edge of balcony. It should just be able to see what transpires there. If the Giant again begins to pelt the party with either stones or spells, she will respond with a Chromatic Orb, Emerald version, but only if her target is close.

Yeah, I'm a glutton for those +'s!

Wyntar questions the Paladin...Halo, tell me what your eyes see? As he waits anxiously for Halo's response....He casts Magic Missile

Magic Missile [4d4+4] = 10+4 = 14

Against the Giant
Round 3

Morgi flies a bit closer to the structure and sees that the cloud material covering the windows is still dissolving away. He can now see into the upper floors of the tower. He does not see any action up there. (4 rounds till blast off)

Blodget sees that his long climb will take him completely out of the fight so he very politely jumps off the wall into Halos open arms. The move pushes the pair off course a little, but the mighty paladin is able to catch the jumpy thief with little trouble. The pair is now floating up more towards the middle of the south side of the balcony. Halo continues to levitate them even higher.

The unseen Mira weaves more magical gestures and phrases into the air, creating a duplicate unseen image of herself. She needs to move back up the stairs 10 feet to get her invisible image to the desired location, leaving her just outside of the overhang of the balcony.

Her invisible image can see the giant now and he looks pissed. He gets to his feet and roars incoherently again, heading straight for the railing, within only a few feet of Mira's image. She readies a tiny green gem and begins another spell.

The giant picks up another rock from the nearby pile and launches it at the now floating Halo. Even though he stands nearly directly above the vulnerable paladin, he still somehow manages to miss him with his throw.

Wyntar sees the giant come back to the railing, seemingly unfazed by his powerful lightning. He pulls out the old faithful and casts it at the giants head.

Trotter and Xano have little difficulty ending the existence of the already nearly dead ogre. They do not even get time to grasp forearms before they are set upon again, this time from the northwestern door. (C9)

A group of eight shuffling villagers head towards the pair, their skin is hanging off and they smell real bad. As they get closer you realize that you have seen these poor people before, in the village of Lurneslye. The fat priest Bernhardt is there, moaning and flailing at you. As is your friend Asdos, now nothing more than an undead pawn of Yesorkh. Mira also sees someone she recognizes shambling towards the pair.

Emerging behind the zombies are two red snow demons with pink heads. The begin gesticulating and screeching wildly.

Actions!

Wyntar 22/40
Mira 30/32
Morgi 19/49
Blodget 49/56
Halo 28/49
Trotter 20/43
Xano 35/39

Because there are no secret doors, I will just post the whole map for you. No meta gaming please. 1 square = 20 feet
You are on the first floor. You have just left C5 and entered into C6
The balcony (above C6) is 50 feet up from the first floor.

Blodget, halfling thief:

Impatient to reenter the fight and prove himself useful, Blodget asks Master Halo, "Are we there yet?"

If he can safely fire a sling bullet while being carried by Halo, he'll throw a small stone in answer to a boulder. The foolish young hobbit tries to target the gem that he thinks may hold the soul of the true Cloud Giant, or of the evil spirit? He wasn't entirely sure.

Blodget Sling: To Hit: [1d20+9] = 9+9 = 18, Damage: S/M: [1d4+3] = 4+3 = 7, Damage: L: [1d6+3] = 2+3 = 5

As the Giant bellows and hurls his stone, Mira's command word issues forth, and a streak of green fire steels toward the enormous nose...

[1d20] = 5
+2 dex, +3 for the 'Orb = 10
