The Cleric Jem is starting to take up a collection for a memorial stone to be engraved in order to remember his fallen comrade Murdoch. Jem will donate the first 100 gold coins for this in case there is no other interest.

He will open up the donations to all of his fellow party members and to whomever else would like to give.

Elbreth
Herrin
Braxtaw
Ulf
Killog
Even Njord, if he ever shambles back this way.

Jem will also seek out the stone carvers and pay 100gp's to have a sign stone made for his future dwelling. He would like the sign stone engraved with the following message:

Jems House of Healing

This is a house of Pelor tended by the Cleric, Jem.
Jem is a kind soul who will always do what he feels is just and right. He would put his own life on the line to protect or save one of his friends or party members and he has proven this many times. If you need healing, Jem can do that. If you need counseling or advice, Jem can offer his help. If you need a place to display a monument for a fallen comrade, Jem will add your stone to his reflection wall. Jem's is a trustworthy place to get the help you need. Inquire within and see it for yourself.

100gp's deducted

The stone will be affixed to a signpost temporarily as it awaits the construction of the house of healing. P.s. At your current requested specification for the building, it will NOT be residence--it's just a simple open hospital room, basically.

Lug commissions Zampari of the Yellow-and-Green Cape to compose and perform three songs: The Lug Theme Song (a heroic, anthem-like tune), The Ballad of Lug (with a touching melody), and The Lug March (suitable for singing as you travel the lands around Vaul).

100 gp paid for 3 compositions and 70 performances.

Ok, I don't remember it being "open" though. If it costs the same as a dwelling, I want it to be enclosed.... like a small house. They are going to design/build it for future expansion (with the possibility of adding living quarters) as per my request though right?

(and if it's empty, it could be used to sleep in temporarily I hope)

Is the Lars fund open to April 30 so we can get more money for the fund? Since only Orrin, Naila, and Lug can get XP for contributing, those are probably the only three who will. April 30 is a long way away. Maybe it would be better to put in 100g each, close the account, and start building right away?

That was the idea, but perhaps you are right. What does GTan think?

What specifically does Lug want to be featured in these songs? What traits or feats or accomplishments should be highlighted?

sounds good
The optimist, "The glass is half full."
The pessimist, "The glass is half empty."
The gamer, "I drink the water; what happens?"

Greed shall be thy undoing!

There is the possibility that The Wendall might make a large contribution when he returns.

Whether he wants to or not. ;)

What to highlight in the Lug songs: His legendary size and strength, his heart that's even bigger than his size would suggest, how he chased down a goblin and killed it just by throwing a rock, how he is now feared by spiders everywhere. There should also be some room for a line or two about his traveling companions, and his friendship with the beloved Lars. :D

Good point. Maybe we leave it open for a while... Lars would get a nice XP bump with his new character if we can get some more cash in there.

I would like to suggest a line about Lug being hit over the head because of misguided love...

The ballad can include something about the tree spirit. In Lug's version, she fell for him, but their love was not meant to be.

"His name was Lug, Lug, Lug,
His ale goes glug, glug, glug.

He'll squash you like a bug,
Luuuuuuug!"

Thank you, we'll be here all week. Try the fish.

2nd verse

"I watched him kill a spider,
He makes a damn good fighter,
His tights could not be tighter,
Luuuuuuug!"

Seriously, just tell me to stop.

I meant open as in floor plan--yes, it is enclosed :)
