Re: OOC 2
There are 3 guards on the opposite side of the bridge that the structure is on.

Re: OOC 2
Yep. Esillia told the party there were at least 3 guards on the East side, the side the party is on (or before they descended on the rope, below the party), and possibly 6 on the west side. Rakjak and the others have spotted one guard so far, and several slaves, in the chamber on the east side.Dram wrote:There are 3 guards on the opposite side of the bridge that the structure is on.

Re: OOC 2
Okay I guess I am confused are we closer to the single guard or the 3 guards together?

Re: OOC 2
Sorry Dram. I guess sometimes in my effort to describe the environment, the actual details get a bit lost in translation. If you look at the map in the latest summary:
Summary: To Eat Some Meat!!!
Calendar: 8:50 pm - July 10th, 9001
Location: Undercity Bottom Level - Pirate-Bandit's Lair
You will see a short tunnel with a cavern, at the right side of the map. The black triangles represent slaves and the red triangle represents 1 guard. Rakjak, who is taking his sweet time on advance reconnosance, can hear 2 more guards inside the structure (right side of the map). These are the 3 guards Esilia talked about. She also stated there may be at least six guards on the west side of the rift (left side of the map, which isnt shown yet.
So, to summarize, there are 3 known guards in the right side of the map. 1 in the open, 2 inside the structure (heard but not seen).
Hopefully that helps. If i do a simple summary at the end of each Summary Post, going forward, would that help make things more clear?
Thanks

Re: OOC 2
Been a busy week. I'll be making a Summary post around lunchtime tomorrow. Trying to get FantasyChick all squared away and complete a new revision of my Core Rules.
I created a new thread titled PROFESSIONS. It will make more sense when I get the new revision of my core rules complete. I've already posted a partial version of the new Core Rules in the Core Rules thread. Some of you may have noticed I simplified the Character Generation layout too. I felt that keeping the characters a little more generic will help greatly in the area of character growth.
on a less serious note...That damn Rakjak just charged in didn't he. My guess is Gavin is going to have a word or two with him when its all over with. Not that it will do much good. Crazy Gnoll Cooks!
But seriously, MW keeps things interesting. He does a fine job of keeping me inspired as well. His mind is always working.
Thanks

Re: OOC 2
Just waiting on a post from Greywolf and possibly a second post from Sniperknight (if he wants to), and then I'll make my next Summary post. FantasyChick should be joining us soon. Jut waiting for her to finish up her character sheet. I'll be cleaning up the Spoils of War! thread this weekend with updated XP and stuff. I also hope to complete the latest draft of my Core Rule set.
Thanks

Re: OOC 2
Just an FYI on the dice rolls. Not a big deal, jut thought I would mention it.
GW: Kel wields weapons one size larger than his size class, so he would be wielding a Large Forest Axe. The Large Forest Axe does 1d8 in damage.
Dram: Lyaera is 4'9" so she falls in the Medium Class. Standard Arrows for a Medium character deal 1d4 in damage. Might help clean up your macro a little.
Also, when you guys forget to roll for Initiative, I roll it for you when I do the Summary Post. As long as you're ok with that, I'll keep doing. You guys are wailing on those poor Pirate-Bandits something fierce. Which is probably good, because if any of them had hit you, it might hurt a fair piece.

Re: OOC 2
No worries GW.
Just thought I'd mention it. I have the Armor, Weapons, and Items in three different PDF's in the Core Rules thread. I'm working on updating things to be a little cleaner. I will most likely be eliminating the tables I have and switch over to The Hypertext D20 SRD (link) for weapons, armor , and Items. Which might change what some weapons deal for damage. It seems kind of silly to try and re-invent the wheel here, so why bother? The tools are already in place. I'm not really certain why I ever messed around with that stuff. Must have had a wild hair...
Moving forward my plan is to use a classless system with custom Race descriptions, magic system, Professions, and a few other oddities thrown in for good measure.
D20 SRD Damage
The Damage columns give the damage dealt by the weapon on a successful hit. The column labeled "Dmg (S)" is for Small weapons. The column labeled "Dmg (M)" is for Medium weapons. If two damage ranges are given then the weapon is a double weapon. Use the second damage figure given for the double weapon’s extra attack. Table: Larger and Smaller Weapon Damage gives weapon damage values for weapons of various sizes.
So Kel's Forest Axe would fall under the - Handaxe (s)1d4, (m)1d6 - that would make the (L) axe a 1d8 for damage. (no change - Sorry, Kel is just lucky I guess.)
Lyaera's Longbow would deal 1d8 (Increase)
Caiden's Shortbow would deal 1d6 (Increase)
Rakjak's Throwing Axe would deal 1d6 (Increase)
(not that you guys need any help killing things, you seem to be doing a pretty good job thus far.)
I am a big proponent of custom weapons and armor, so obviously those won't be present in the D20 SRD, so in those cases we will work it out based on the D20 SRD system

I haven't posted the summary for that round yet. I was giving SniperKnight a chance to get a post in. I'll be making a summary post here shortly. But it does look like she hit him.Dram wrote:Did not Lyaera hit Pirate #4 before he fled accross the bridge?
