Cool, glad to have you Raven. I hadn't heard of the modules either it was dmw "Dave" that pointed them out to me after I mentioned the arena/coliseum type adventure in the catch all "thread" under LFG.
GreyWolfVT wrote:Hey just an FYI throwing it out there but after the whole mansion thing. I'm thinking of closing A Village With No Name. Marking it completed and thinking about asking for a new Game Forum to run DDA1 & DDA2 as mentioned however I am thinking of moving your characters to that game for those of you interested in playing those two modules. Granted I'll have to do some conversions from Basic to 2e but I don't think it will be very difficult. That being said, I really to appreciate you players. I hope all of you will be happy to play in the other two modules I haven't read anything good on the other two DDA modules DDA3 & DDA4. Read some posts on dragonsfoot forums saying that DDA3 was the worst module ever written by Carl Sargent. A fair amount said DDA1 Arena of Thyatis and DDA2 Legions of Thyatis weren't bad but nothing "special" really stood out about them. I leave it open you chat among everyone I though sandbox was a good idea but I'm finding my other game Al-Qadim is going a bit easier or rather better having a true guide for me to go off of that I can "Ad-lib" without completely stalling the game, or being at a loss rather. If not running those two modules I have some others on my list of "to run" that I could run by you all. I really just wanted to give all you current players first dibs to join the game rather than throwing this out in LFG. Let me know what you all think. Who's in who's out. Heck I don't even care if you would rather make a new character for the modules. Ideally it looks like the fist is aimed for lower level like lvl 1-2 and the second is lvl 3-4 I could always alter/beef up the foes and so forth so that you would not have to start at level 1 or 2. Being that most all of you are currently level 3.
just copying over so folks don't have to go back a page.

Nice. It'll be good to have you along as well Pyro. You know much about any of these modules? I figure you might.

No, I have never played them before, so I know nothing about them!

Really, I lost track after the 2nd Edition DMG came out and after reading "Empire of Imagination", I was glad, that that was the only 2E thing I bought at the time.

I sent a PM, but here is my public response. I haven't played any modules, ever. So, these are all going to be new for me. I'd love to try them out with everyone! I'll know for sure if I can handle it when it draws closer to game completion. Right now, it looks like a yes.

I'd be willing. I'd like to continue to play my toon. I don't mind a railroad, especially in
PbP. I try not to meta-game, so I have no idea on the modules listed. I sure as hell don't know them by the alpha-numeric designation.

Good. So far the whole crew is onboard. I'm glad you don't meta-game but it's even better knowing so far nobody not even the DM has heard of or played the modules. Happy to have you Nuke :)

I think the only modules I know of is the Temple of elemental evil ones and only the first one in that series and not all of that one. I played the balders gate CRPG stuff in the late 80s.

Railroading is good. We could use more of it for this sort of system, in my honest opinion. Sandbox elements have its place here and there, but railroading will be crucial for getting a game off the ground and getting it going.

Sorry I've had to resort to resolving some action in PM which is not my preferred method. However PMs are out there to the three players involved in whats going on in the south end of the mansion. Hope to return the action to the forum IC soon enough. I may just resort to using the spoiler tags and state which group it pertains to. ;) Also I'm sort of trying to expedite "accelerate" the mansion searching so we can move to the new modules sooner hopefully. Still waiting for a forum to get put up so I can get things prepped there as well. Currently my tentative and hopeful start date is March 2018 hopefully. ;)

Hey everyone just a heads up Greg (ToniXX) setup our new game forum for me. So I've got that started sort of. I haven't posted the intro and all that as I don't want any spoilers as to how you'll all end up from this realm into Thyatis. Also if anyone is not currently sticking with their character they have here I'll have a slightly different method for getting you into the new game. So please let me know before hand, so far I think only one is going with a new character. Also Arena of Thyatis offers a new class that is fine if anyone wants to roll that up I'll stick with everyone's current levels the module states it will work for low levels 1-3 so we should be good so long as nobody gets level 4. ;)

A group member is attempting to wake Rukiel. Will it work even though he is under the effects of a sleeping poison? Or will Rukiel remain unresponsive for the four hours you mentioned earlier?
