Keathan returns to camp. "Nothing to worry about, just a traveling wine merchant. But at least we're up, might as well get going."

Soon after the merchant rambles by the campsite Charles stops the man "Good morning fair wine merchant might I accompany you on the road south my good sir?" the merchant removes his hat and bows to Charles "Sure I wouldn't mind the company on the road. Names Melvin gather your things and lets be off." in a matter of moments Charles bids the group farewell and takes his pack and rides with Melvin the wine merchant. Not long after everything remains much quieter for the remainder of the morning.

Rukiel dresses back up in his traveling gear and packs his tent away. With only a few hours of sleep under his belt, he feels quite grouchy and does not try to hide it. The others pick up on this when travel is silent.

Rukiel checks his horse and wagon before backing into marching order, having downed a quick meal of whatever he could find.

Packing up Camp & Moving Forward

Everyone does their morning rituals, routines eats packs up camp loads the supplies and cart, extinguishes the camp fire (Rukiel urinates on it for good measure, Krakus joins him for no apparent reason.) Everyone else tries not to stare at them. The sounds of nature waking fully are in full and the usual animal sounds and activities can be heard. Very little traffic on the road still a hunting party comes by the group but pays them little heed as they cross the road and head off westward on a game trail. Other than that a few merchants, farm hands and lumber transports pass by on the road heading in their own directions.

It's about noon by the time the group comes to the old overgrown road (using the term loosely) as the one time mansion road appears much more like a old unused logging dirt road that hasn't seen any use in quite some time aside from possibly huntsmen, or rangers. No fresh tracks appear on the old road and it appears Rukiel's cart pulled by his horse Bagel should be able to make it up the trail, with perhaps Krakus or someone clearing away larger saplings that might cause for a road block along the way. Nothing sounds out of the usual, question being how far up does this road go before it reaches the mansion? Nobody really knows for sure.

Actions?

Krakus will scout ahead about 20 to 30 yards ahead of the group clearing the brush for the cart. Keeping his eyes and ears open for any danger. Remember there is suppose to be a dragon around here some where.

Rukiel the Fickle

"Eh, or so the rumors go. People say there is a dragon there but has anyone actually SEEN it? I'd wager that it's just some sort of gobbledygook spouted by those who get a kick out of spooking children. Not that I have any experience in that... of course. I'm a gentleman of a rare breed." Rukiel flashes a quick toothy grin. The sand has fallen from his eyes and his spirits seem to have lifted some after making progress on the trail.

"Who did we hear that from, by the way?"

Brother Canis asks doubtfully, "A dragon? around here? where did you hear that from indeed? Let me guess - in a tavern?"

The captain of the guard told those that were called to his meeting that there were tales of a dragon from those whom reported finding the mansion.
