Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Keathan returns with an arm full and proceeds to build a fire.
Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Rukiel nods his head in satisfaction. "A master of many things I am, but only if it's fun! For if life is not lived to the fullest, then you are doing yourself a great disservice. Am I right, or am I right?" he ends in a wink.
Happy to have delegated the dirty business of rabbit skinning to someone else, Rukiel sits back against a tree and folds his arms behind his head, a silly grin on his face. He watches tentatively while the fire is being built, but says nothing when the watch is mentioned.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Krakus- Skins and guts the hares that were supplied by Rukiel. Be hands the hearts and livers to Hantae. Anybody wants any of others parts? If nobody takes anything else he sets rabbits meaty parts on a wooden skewe over the fire. He then walks over Rukiel with hide and others parts not used. Takes these parts to your last kill spot. We do not as t any unwanted guests will smell of fresh kill in the air. Then we will rest you and me will take second watch.

Hantae
Thank You Krakus and Rukiel. Which watch do you want me on?

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Rukiel grumbles at first, having been assigned extra work for the night, but upon hearing Hantae's thank you, somehow it all works out in his head. 'I suppose playing the night guard game will help pass the time. Wonder if I'll bag any kills tonight?'
Rukiel beams towards the group. "Rest easy everyone! If you hear the howls of a dragon being slain in the dead of night, tis just I doing my job." Rukiel finishes in a wink. "Oh, but I will make sure to send Krakus to let you all know of my valorous deed. That's what two man teams are for, right?"

Keathan helps cook, then eats as the watch conversation comes up, "I would prefer last watch. That way I can pray as well."

Krakus - laughs loudly at the boy and gives him a good pat on the back. If danger comes our way I shall stand back and let you take glory of the kill all to for your self. He pulls the back leg off the hare and eats.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Camping
Charles shares his food and sits with the group camps with them even and shares his tales of travel with them while Rukiel puts on a show for all to show his skill in things other than stacking cards, he performs a card trick that goes over better than some of his stunts back in Northvale at the tavern. He has one of the group pick a card from his deck of cards then show it to the others the card is placed back in the deck and Rukiel shuffles the cards fly all over the camp nearly going into the cook fire, he deftly snatches a card from the air and reveals ....the wrong card.... everyone starts to laugh and chuckle until he smiles at the card that lands on his face revealing it to all as the card that was drawn. After the show everyone enjoys a good roast rabbit and some preserved berries that Charles shares with everyone as well as some elven bread he recommends spreading the preserves on the bread it turns out to be quite tasty to everyone's surprise for those that questioned the odd idea.
The night shift watch goes by slowly and with all the usual noises the only real action had was seeing or rather hearing an owl hunt down a mouse not far from the camp other than that the bats eating the insects out at night. The next shift goes about the same all is quiet from the road nobody in camp stirs really then sounds of something in the forest sounds like a wild cat by the sound it is making though it is not sure how far off it is from the camp. Deciding to be alert but waiting it out pays off as it is a lynx just out hunting it avoids the camp and finds it's prey and is gone before anyone has to be awakened.
The morning shift there are sightings of men on the road and the sound of a wagon being pulled by some sort of animal with hooves though it is not close enough to see you can hear it slowly rumbling down the road.
action for person on watch during morning shift?

Bandir starts waking the party quietly and as he does he signals to each one silently using hand signals about the sounds. He wakes Keathan first as they can scout quietly in the forest probably and see in lower light, then Hantae, Rician, Krakus, Rukiel, and brother Canis and Charles.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Rukiel yawns and stretches his arms, still very much half-asleep. "*haaaaooooouaahh*, what is..." He looks around all groggy-eyed and instinctively reaches for his crossbow resting next to his bedroll. "We under attack?" The silence around Rukiel has him slightly confused. He pokes his head out of his tent and looks around, still very much in his night clothes.

Brother Canis rises with a deep breath of the forest and smiles "Visitors at this hour?" He checks his armor and hefts his mace ready to receive and feisty 'visitors'.
