To cook or not to cook looking around the cupboards in the kitchen there appears to be a couple old cast iron pans other than that you find a small stack of 6 metal plates no silverware however is found.

Mid Day Break: Old Guard House

Finding suitable wood and cleaning the place up the group manages to cook the deer that Hantae got in her hunt earlier. Rukiel takes a brief nap in one of the solid hardwood chairs as a fly buzzes around him, he swats at it in his sleep ever so often and wakes when he smells the food is ready. Not getting too relaxed as Krakus warns the group does maintain a makeshift patrol watching around the building. Everyone eats and briefly recovers (everyone heals 1 HP for brief rest & food consumption) the break does not come with out some action though. Krakus and Keathan don't see but hear a rustling in the woods that sounds like it is coming towards the building. Chances are the smell of food has drawn something to them.

Keathan moves to grab some bones and scraps before telling the rest of the group, "Let's just see what showed up before we start hacking at things.. If it is an animal, gimme a few before you defend ourselves." He moves out toward the noise, readying a spell and some offerings.

Bandir Spellbringer - F1/M2 - Spell Armour & Ring +1: AC 5 (Armor 10 hp) - Bandir HP: 11 /11:

Bandir readies his bow, "Aye lads. Let's not throw caution to the winds and just rush it. Let's at least see what it is and what it wants. Food we got plenty of. No harm in feeding it if it's peaceful about it."

Bandir keeps a watch in the sky and ahead of them and scans the area where the noise came from.

Rukiel wakes to the smell of freshly cooked meat. Stretching and getting up slowly, he rubs his stomach and smiles. His mind on food and nothing else, he grabs a healthy serving for himself and walks outside to see what the commotion is all about. "Dragon come out to play?" he says between mouthfuls of food.

Rukiel casually looks over at Bagel (the horse) to see if she needs someone nearby to stay calm.

Brother Canis, seeing his brave comrades ready themselves for a fight, notices some unfinished plates. "If you guys aren't gonna finish that...," and helps himself to seconds.

Rician helps himself to some of the cooked venison, and starts chowing down, when Krakus and Keathan, informs the group of a possible vistor.

He puts, hurriedly takes a big bite, puts down the food, and grabs for his sword and peers outside.

What is that?

What you see making its way towards you is a very tall, powerfully built, armored humanoid. He appears to be carrying the biggest shield you have ever seen, and if that is not enough the big brute also has sheathed at his hip one huge sword, that would be difficult to wield two-handed by anyone here,

You estimate it must weight around 400 plus pounds with a somewhat greenish color to its skin, and a lopsided permanent grin, and every now and then you observe it scratching its crotch. Even as it gets closer to you it almost 8 feet tall with many battle scars crisscrossing its arms and face.

It suddenly stops 10 feet away and slowly scans the group in his arc, by his measured looks you can tell he is sizing everyone up.

Suddenly it say's in broken common “ Mis hundgry, eats yes?” and shows the group his big teeth.

Looking at the creature it looks partially like an ogre but not quite an ogre, then you begin to wonder is this thing half human?

Keathan approaches the fighter a few steps and places his meager few bits of venison on a rock before backing away. "We have more." he backs away before turning to the shack and continuing. "Bring me a rear quarter please."

Brother Canis peers out from the guardhouse as he chews the last of his venison. "Well, well, well - would you look at the size of THAT fellah!" he thinks as he watches the meeting unfold.
