Bandir Spellbringer - F1/M2 - Spell Armour & Ring +1: AC 5 (Armor 10 hp) - Bandir HP: 11 /11:

Bandir prepares to use the Wand of Ray of Enfeeblement on the larger dragon should hostilities begin. Bandir moves to find cover and concealment slowly. Bandir also singles himself from the group to try and stay out off any breath weapon. Bandir waits to see how the situation develops but is ready to use the enfeebling wand first.

Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 Dragons. Bandir just crapped his pants.

Preparations & Dragon(s)?

The larger older green dragon calls to the younger dragon, the younger smaller dragon fully wakes up looks around at the beings around it and calls back to the larger dragon then begins to leap into the air to fly. the tall grass and brush start to wave as if from a small gust of wind dirt and other debris are blown around as the small dragon takes flight and flies over to the larger dragon, where it lands and the two dragons both look at the group with curious stares neither make any move towards the group but they to watch with interest the larger dragon haunches down looking much like a cat ready to pounce on it's prey. It issues a warning roar at the the group as if to warn them away from it and it's young. Then before the group can make a move the two dragons make run off around the mansion into the field beyond and flap their winds stirring up all sorts of plans and tree branches and take flight flying off away from the mansion and the party deeper into the woods beyond. The group all realizes they were all holding their breath for that entire time and as one everyone exhales a great sigh of relief. Botang being the only one to fart at the same time, though everyone begins to think that is just normal for the half-ogre, Bagel even looks less on edge from where Rukiel tied him off with the cart. Rukiel in the tree holding his rope lasso looks sad and a bit odd. For now the way to the mansion entrance is clear and the dragon dangers have passed for the time being if ever there was a time to make for the entrance now is that time. Now with more time to look about you notice there is an old stable near the mansion the mansion really looks like an oversized hunting lodge with multiple floors form the outside.

Hantae

The invisible Hantae heads for the door to scout ahead well she still has the potions invisibility. "Going in!" She says just loud enough for the others to hear.

Bandir

Bandir says,”We got lucky I think boys and girls. I think the big dragon was more concerned for the younger one than trying to kill us. Let’s search this place quickly. It may come back alone and not happy.”

Botang say's" kos mboî tatás...mes nokem nok"

Translation: Botang say's "Nos mboî tatá... me no eat now".

(The half-ogre look the area over and see everyone preparing to go into the mansion, so he puts away his sword and follows the group in)

"Damn, and just when I was so close too!" Rukiel mutters under his breath, tucking the lassoed rope back into his belt. 'You should have jumped and taken the chance.' he says to himself. 'A display of courage and dexterous skill would have been the beginning of an epic ballad!'

As Rukiel hangs his head in great disappointment of his cowardice, he climbs back down the tree and scans the skies. Confident that the dragons aren't flying back again, Rukiel turns his frown upside down and shouts, pointing to the sky with a raised fist. "HAHAAA! You were right to run away! AND DON'T COME BACK!" He puffs his chest out and nods as if praising himself. He turns to anyone listening and says in a casual 'oh it was nothing, really' sort of voice, "I could have taken them. I had the element of surprise and everything."

It becomes readily clear at this point that Rukiel is talking out of his ass. He doesn't try to hide it.

Bandir Spellbringer - F1/M2 - Spell Armour & Ring +1: AC 5 (Armor 10 hp) - Bandir HP: 11 /11:

Bandir follows in normal marching order but waits long enough for Hantae to get a idea of how safe it is. Bandir puts his wands away and keeps his bucker ready.

"OK let's try and search this place somewhat quickly. Remember - They are informed it is the lost mansion of the founder of Northvale though thought lost over the last thirty years and suspected haunted, the mansion contains some important history to the town and might well hold some treasures as well. They are told that they can keep any items of magic in the mansion as payment along with any other items of value though if any are historically relevant to the founder the mayor likely will pay them for the items to be added to the town archives/museum. The items they wish to have brought back however are a ledger, and some scrolls thought to contain more information of the founder Lord Northvale."

I think we had a map to get us out here possibly. If so Bandir will note on the map with Quill and ink the location of the mansion and commits it to memory as well. If not he just remembers the location based on distances travelled while it's fresh in his mind.

Brother Canis, is quite taken by the fact that they just had a run in with two dragons and lived to tell the tale. What an interesting place life is, eh? he thinks. What will we find next if dragons be at the front door!? Shaking his head in wonderment, he clutches his mace and gives thanks to the Light and sets his mind to the mysterious mansion. Watching the others take stock, he'll peer into the windows to get a sense if anything may be watching them from any of them that he can see.

Rukiel, having gotten over the brief excitement that came with the dragons, is eager to start plundering liberating the treasures within the mansion.

He brings the cart and horse out of hiding and positions it near the main entrance for quick loading and leaving if need be. Rukiel reassures Bagel that he won't be gone long. With a few pats on the side of the horse's neck and a few soothing words, he checks the knots in his rope, making sure they will hold fast.

Rukiel doesn't waste any time in entering the mansion. The place has been abandoned, he rationalizes, so the most he might encounter within is a few stray animals or something equally insignificant, nothing his crossbow and club can't handle.

Into The Mansion

Hantae opens the front door to the mansion and enters the building, after signalling verbally to the others that it appears all clear. The main entry room is a large open room with 7 doors one straight ahead from the front door two to the right and four to the left. Looking through the few windows near the main entrance reveals very little of the room within as most of the windows have thick curtains closed what little daylight spills through the windows reveals very little of the inside due to the filth build up on the glass. However you can see dusty furniture within most of the rooms.

Entering the main entry there are hooks on the walls for travelling cloaks and jackets to be hung there are benches to sit on, there are tables with unlit lanterns to be lit. Some tables merely have metal trays with long unused candles with metled wax on the tray to show at one time they were used however the layer of dust on everything and the cobwebs indicates long times without use. Aside from that there are a couple of wardrobes that clothing might be stored in for travelling but there is not much else in this main entry room aside from a large carpet that covers the entirety of the floor in the room. There are paintings and preserved animal heads mounted on the walls. Most of the paintings are of folks you presume long dead. The former masters and his family.

Actions?

The areas you can see white with little rectangles are windows some light goes in the rest of the rooms you cannot see well from the outside other than the revealed areas.

Krakus studies the faces on the painting so if he sees them in the future he may know that they old masters of the house problably ghosts. He will then go to the first door on the right and listen outside the door. We might as well start here.

You are pretty big. Unless you really want to be in front. I'd like to not be in hear when it gets dark. We can camp down the road just before dusk."
